  1. I make a switchless installer for every new version of Skype. Latest version is 4.0.0.224. The installers are in my site under Custom Installers.
  2. I'm already working on it.Main post updated. The new 8.1.1.10 switchless installers are already available at my site.
  3. QuickTime Alternative 2.8.0 doesn't require any add-on. Not, you don't need if you install the latest version 2.8.0.
  4. No, i don't include it on my installers. If you need it, you can extract it from the original iTunes installer.
  5. I made regular updates of my installer as soon as a new version comes out. The new one is already on my site.
  6. IMO form filling is a priorty, it should stay. EDIT1: in todays world of terabyte drives etc etc, size does not matter so much. The Lite'ening of this product has more to do with RogerDB's sentiments posted HERE. There are few people with actual concerns of hdd space. MANY people are concerned about background processes running without any way of stopping them. Please keep this in mind when trying to make the product as small (in bytes) as possible. EDIT2: I have read the comments on the internet by small minds comparing 20 MB to 25 MB etc etc Ignore these people. This Lite product isnt for them. They have no idea whats running in the background, and never will. Those with real knowledge seek this product for the reasons posted above in EDIT1 shark Amen
  7. The installers are already available for download in my site. Sorry for the delay, but i really needed those vacations to take some time off
  8. I will be out on vacations two weeks and I leave tomorrow. I'm uploading the x86 installers for iTunes 8.1.0.51 and i will make the x64 versions when i get back home.
  9. Just install it, configure it the way you want and grab the folder from program files and the registry keys under Software/Poikosoft. You can make an SFX archive for it.
  10. You need to go to the WPI forum section for help on that.
  11. hi, i would just like to know what they all mean, like elajua knew the 3 i wrote on my first post, when i know what they mean i can start putin into use but in till i know im playin a guessin game? surly if people know what they mean its not hard to quick write a list, aint that just helpin? iam quite new to all this everybodys goter start somewhere! cheers james feel free to give me some links. Like i just said, just read Inno setup, NSIS setup and Windows Installer documentation, you can even search it for just the available switches and their meaning/actions. Just go to their websites, the docs are there.
  12. You can make an SFX archive (easier) or write a CMD file that copies everything you need (in this case, the txt file with info). The SFX can be made with WinRAR, WinZIP, 7-Zip, etc. There is a topic on how to make SFX archives.
  13. I just replied to the High Definition Audio thread. /S is for silent, meaning no visual display of the installation. /SUPRESSMSGBOXES is for not showing the user options or questions the installer might ask when ran normally. /NORESTART is for preventing the installer to reboot the computer, even if the program needs a reboot to work properly. An advice. You can read Inno setup o NSIS documentation to learn the meaning of their switches. Also, Microsoft has an extensive documentation system for Windows Installer (MSI) setups.
  14. Im not sure but i think i remember that the switches are /q /n /z You can install it in the winnt.sif file so windows can then recognize your sound card/chip and install it when it detects devices and loads the drivers from $OEM$ or other locations.
  15. Same here, tried Micro build 2.3 Maybe scheccia can remove the context menu entries because the users can associate the file they want and the installer associates them by default.
  16. Have you tried to uninstall using Vista? just curious... It's good to know that msiexec works for Live Essentials.
  17. 1) They are correct as those are "separate" installers. 2) Windows Live Call is not required, but as many people uses Microsoft webcams (me included) i decided to include it in the requisites installer. 3) I don't know for sure, but it doesn't matter as long as the application files are uninstalled and new/updated versions can be installed without problems.
  18. Thanks, but pretty much everyone here already knew this. I made a tutorial to modify the original installer to include patched files and i make switchless installers for english and spanish. You can read more here. A user named Benners made a tool to make switchless installers in your own language. Read more here. I don't meant to sound rude... Regards.
  19. Hi 1) You need to know which files you want to delete and where they are. An unattended Vista setup doesn't need any file deletion at all, though. 2) If you want to do that, you need to know how to retrieve the windows key and of course, use IF or CASE commands.
  20. Download the full installer and install only Windows Live Mail, but make sure you uninstall everything you have from Windows Live (empty the .cache folder too) so you can see what components are installed besides Live Mail. Then just grab all the components you want/need.
  21. If you want, you can try to remove the old messenger with the command line to see if the new version still doesn't ask for messenger.msi Anyway, i'm glad you got it working right.
  22. A-Patch for this new version is available. Get it here. My switchless installers for 14.0.8064.0206 (English & Spanish) are already available at my blog.
  23. Benner's tool is great for people to make their own switchless installers, but remember that this topic is not for my switchless installers. I made it for the tutorial on how to modify the original WLM msi installer to include your own patched files. At the end, you can use Benner's application to make a switchless installer to include everything else.
  24. What is this for: DISABLEOPTIONS="CDIUWLSG"" ?
