  1. You will need a new version of my installers every time Apple releases a new iTunes version. I try to build them as soon as they are available.
  2. Do this to install silently: 1.- Run the installer (but don't install it, wait until it finishes extracting) and look in windows temp folder for the extracted MSI file. 2.- Before you can install this MSI file you will need to download (google it) ISScript8.msi. 3.- Install ISScript8.msi and DVD Author's msi using /qb /norestart for both. Now, for registration, you will need to manually register it. Then, just copy the file *.lic located in C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Pegasys Inc\DVD author folder You can make a self-extracting archive to copy this file after you make your unattended installation. This also works for TMPGenc Xpress (with the exception that ISScript8.msi is not needed) if anyone is interested.
  3. Firefox is -ms iTunes, search for the iTunes without Quicktime thread. someone posted switches to use with the original installer. Live Messenger. Search for a thread that has the msi files to install. all the others have thread as well. use the search function.
  4. I made an installer for a friend a long time ago, and it didn't told me that it wasn't registered. So, i asumed that ir worked with the registry keys only.
  5. Read my first post. There is a link to my installers, which are switchless (install silently). For both QuickTime Alternative use this: /silent /norestart or /verysilent /norestart (if you don't want to see installation progress).
  6. They aren't broken. The server where they are hosted is down at the moment.Try again later.
  7. This is the only difference. If you want to convert my releses to "normal" installers repack them using this config.txt: ;!@Install@!UTF-8! RunProgram="msistub itunes.msi" ;!@InstallEnd@! I use this one for silent install: ;!@Install@!UTF-8! RunProgram="msistub itunes.msi /qb /norestart" ;!@InstallEnd@!
  8. You can always install QuickTime Alternative 2.7.0, then install QuickTime Alternative iTunes Add-on 2.7.0 and you're done. If you prefer Shark's QuickTime for VCP, uninstall the above when Shark release his addon.
  9. The switch would be /S (must be capital S). To register it, export the registry entries located under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ZabaraKatranemia Plc HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc This way, you get it registered and withh all your settings.
  10. The QuickTime Alternative iTunes addon works great. For your Vista Codec Package users will be great if get your own addon for this. Maybe you can re-release QuickTime for VCP to include those changes. This way, people just install one thing.
  11. Some of those properties were set manually in the installer tables but i'm using just the iTunes MSI installers to make modifications, not the main executable.
  12. Hi, i'm not trying to knock your efforts, but there is already a thread about iTunes installers, which were build by Shark007 and i'm now keeping his work alive. You can read it here.
  13. I just finished testing the add-on with the x86 builds. They are working. Tomorrow i will make x64 versions and will upload them all. Stay tuned.
  14. iTunes 8.0.0.35 is not working with QuickTime Alternative 2.7.0 yet. Hopefully a fix will be available soon.
  15. I already got them, don't worry. I will test the new builds today to see if the re-released version of iTunes works with the latest QuickTime Alternative.
  16. I will modify the installers this weekend when i get home. This post will be updated as soon as i finish building them.
  17. I will make English and Spanish releases for future versions. I Will make them when a new version comes out. If i have the time, maybe i can make them for other languages as well. Thanks for the info Shark... Take care and don't take things too seriously to maintain that pressure low. Regards and good luck.
  18. If that addin uses the registry, maybe you can modify a key to disable the wizard at startup.
  19. Thanks shark, waiting for the Spanish release here...
  20. Both approaches have merit; some will want to always install, some (like me) are making a general XP-reinstall media and using WPI. So, the .msi version will help me allow selectable installation (me, yes, grandpa, no ) Thanks to you both. I just wanted to share the installer i made for a friend that uses Vuze. Thanks to Worf, forum users can install it at T12-13 as well.
  21. Those switches are correct, so theoretically the installation would be silent. You will need to use AutoIt in order to achieve what you want if the switches aren't working as expected.
  22. Today i built 3 computers with Vista x86 and the iPod service is not starting automatically. Maybe you had iTunes installed before. Thanks for the msistub information.
  23. I tested both English (i use this release in my personal copmputer) and Multilanguage x86 builds and the iPod service is not starting up with Windows. Can you tell me which build did you installed? The first time run windows you got are defaulted by iTunes. I prefer that they stay that way instead getting rid of them.
  24. I already uploaded the installers to the address you provided. Thanks.
  25. You are not supposed to find it. You are supposed to use the scripts to recompress Data1.cab file in the application installer you want.If you don't have an installer with data1.cab, don't use them.
