If you have Windows 2003... I'm pretty sure that you can install a plugin that allows you to have a web based version of Remote Desktop... Does anybody know what I mean??

lol, I hope that mis-conception wasn't aimed at me I know and use VmWare at work. But what I am trying to say is that with installing in VmWare it has its own drivers and are mostly compatible, whereas on an actual machine, you sometimes don't get 100% compatibility, but yeah...

I think this is caused by having Symantec Anti-Virus installed, I know for me that I had that trouble, but it could also be a program that is trying to shutdown. Try closing all applications and running tasks in the background and disabling anti-virus and the such, and shutdown and see what it's like then.

We use Windows Messenger over an exchange server works wonders!

You can run any window manager in any linux distro... Apt-Get is for Debian based Distros such as the known ubuntu and debian itself Yum is for RPM Based Distros such as RedHat and the such All linux distros support source compiling, thats the best way to do it, because you can remove stuff from programs you don't want or don't use, so yeah I wouldn't say I'm a guru I just knowledgeable.... plus those people on Ubuntu-Forums are really mean, and aren't very helpful, I should know, I got banned for asking a simple question... lmao
