Dude im sorry to tell you...but your computer is tripin! big time...you could try to repair by pressing F8 on start up...but i doubt that will help. I severly recommend a fresh new format ..otherwise your just going to keep having more and more problems. It wont take long just backup your stuff (on zip,cd, or other harddrive...and just start from scratch...it will make like a whole lot easyer for you goodluck -drew

I think the best thing to do would to be contact the manufacturer, and see if the have drivers compatiable with 200 or xp. That might be the one and only thing that may fix this situation. goodluck Ps whats the Make and model...you never mentiond it. Maybe someone could find drivers...or is having the same promlems with the same Moniter -drew

Thats very strange....if i were you i would do a few things. Try to start up in safe mode and see what the moniter props is grayed...if thats the case i would uninstall you vid card and let windows get itself..that may enable you to change you moniter..and then you can update your drivers But i have never seen this before...good good luck -drew

So far i have used Sygate and Zone...the few things i have noticed is....Sygate slows your connection. And does not catch as many things as Zone im going to try tiney thankx guys -drew

I have always liked Abit...they have some really good stuf...and i know they have a dual p3 board. But befor i can recomend a board..what style of ship are they? Slot1 or socket360? On the the dual 360..i would go with the VP6 while on the slot i dont believe that Abit has one. the site is http://www.abit.com.tw/ another company you might wanna look at is Tyan..they have some good stuff too. another word of wisdom...the VP6 is based on the VIA chip set..im not sure if the majority of dual boards are....but the VIa chip set has been known to have problems with Xp...so befor you buy..look around or maybe wiat for a bios update for Xp to come out! goodluck! -drew

Well if your running the Corp version...there is no files that is responsible for the serial check. It alreayd has been activated..and there will be no need to register....or any kind of trasmistion senting M$ your info..dont fear the timebomb, because its not there! But if you purcased the home or pro retail version..i have no clue what file or files are responsible for the register or phone-home process -drew

There are a few options here (1)Install partition magic 7 (has to be 7) and chop your curent C drive(that is ntft) into to drives..C:(ntft)and D:(fat32) Ten get into dos and run cd drivers and and install win98.Hint:[/color:035397069a]this may not work..i have never done it. If its like winn200, you have to install 98 befor it.If so refer to Option (2) (2)Reformat and in dos with fdisk create to partions of your C: (one being for Xp the other for 98 ). Load up your cdrom drivers and install win98 to one of the partitions. Once you got 98 up and running pop in the Xp cd and select the other partition..and do a fresh install. I just downloaded and updated my Creative 512 sound card with the new X driver....After installing this driver, a bit of strange s*** has been happening. (1)Some times when i start up ar restart when it hits my desktop the programs load up..but i cant see tem in the system tray. I wont be able to click on any icon and when i put the curser over the start button it make the pointer an hour glass. it becomes basicly frozen.. i bring up the task manger and have to restart. (2) if i leave my computer on and my moniter goes into suspend mode...when i try to get back to my desktop...the screen is all black..but i can move the pointer around. What would be the best way to get rid of the new driver...roll back? or should i just delet the devices and let them auto detect on restart? thankx -drew
