  1. If I remember correctly, Xeno said clearly that it is not possible without a major rework of KernelEx.
  2. I would refer to your complainings about KernelEx in various threads - for example, why I can't run Java 6 update 22 together with Firefox 3.6. Without KernelEx, you couldn't use Firefox 3.6! Have you looked carefully at that picture? If yes, you wouldn't ask about OS (Windows Start icon is enough).
  3. Frogman, sorry if that sound harsh, but I think, that you're a bit annoying person (your problems with Java/Flash/Shockwave/KernelEx etc.) Probably the major reason of your problems is a bad condition of your OS - clean install of it would be a good idea IMO. Yes, latest Shockwave work with KernelEx:
  4. Hopefully, I'm not alone with that problem.
  5. Have you installed KernelEx? Avidemux 2.5.4 indeed doesn't work even with the latest version (4.5 RC 5) of KEx but I have no problem with Avidemux 2.5.3 - I'm using it for some time.
  6. I'm not sure but maybe you can do it with Avidemux (2.5.3) but in that case you need to install KernelEx.
  7. Jaclaz, I must say that impressed with all your finds. Second and third link unfortunately doesn't work (at least in this moment). DiscRescue probably don't work under Win9x: http://www.liutilities.com/products/diskrescue/ I have installed the last uility but I've got message that DiskDefrag.dll is connected with missing export of Kernel32.dll: GetVolumeNameForVolumeMountPointW.
  8. IMO, your expectations are a bit too high (especially the last point). Probably the only chance for modern defragmentation tool is KernelEx - personally, I would like to try freeware Defraggler (I've tested it under Windows XP systems).
  9. It's a bit off-topic but: Yes, with Maxton you could customize IE in a way you prefer but still you're using slow and "ancient" Trident engine, which is a real headache for webmasters/webdesigners. Faster launch time is understandable because of tight intergration with OS. Indeed, it's a main reason but not the only: IE 6.0 is over nine years old browser (released on August 2001) and which is even more important, not compatible with modern Internet technology.
  10. I've tried newest stable version (2.5.4) of Avidemux with KernelEx 4.5 RC 5. Installation was ok but after run of program, I've got message that file LIBSTDC++-6.DLL is connected with missing export MSVCRT.DLL:___lc_codepage_func. I hope this issue could be resolved.
  11. CharlesF, could you answer, why you're still using IE 6.0 (it's a very bad browser IMHO)? Even Microsoft recommend to uninstall it! Btw, Xeno/Tihiy, lot of thanks for another update of KernelEx!
  12. New version (3.0) of CCleaner was released by Piriform. It could be installed but it doesn't run complaining about OS (setting Compatiblity Tab for Windows XP/2000 doesn't help). Btw, I would like to have a chance to use their Defraggler - it's a good tool IMO.
  13. Really strange, because I have Java 6 update 22 on my PC (KernelEx 4.5 RC 4 is installed) and it works normally with Firefox 3.5.15 (next-generation Java plugin is disabled).
  14. Xeno/Tihiy, could you look at latest builds of ffdshow (clsid)? It's possible to install them but they don't work - I'm using revision 3556 (from September 2).
  15. If you don't want to use a KernelEx, as far as I know, you must stick with that version.
  16. If you could, please use a search option:
  17. I agree it's an excellent relase - very stable and no problem at all. Thank you so much for it Xeno and Tihiy!
  18. I'm really surprised to see that some users have problem with newest versions of KernelEx - I have 4.5 RC2 and I don't have any trouble with it.
  19. I'm running like you Firefox 3.5.12 but with Java 6 update 21 (KernelEx 4.5 RC2). I've tested two versions (2 and 5 if I remember correctly) of Firefox 4 beta for a short while only, because most of my extensions don't work.
  20. Xeno/Tihiy, thank you warmly guys for another RC of KernelEx 4.5 I can confirm, that I have no more problem with latest Flash on YouTube.
  21. I hope it is right place: I've found replacement (at least partially) for Process Explorer - Process Viewer for Windows (PrcView) 5.2.15. It works under Win9x but http://www.teamcti.com/pview/prcview.htm
  22. That quite interesting: it means that latest Java could work on some sites (or not) with Firefox 3.6.8. Yes, it's a right picture but because I do not using IE 6.0, it is a minor success IMO. I would advice you, to try just much as possible various Java oriented sites. Btw, have you checked http://www.pluginchecker.com/ mentioned by WIN98SE/schwups?
  23. To be precise, it's rather some sort of noise (not very annoying) - mainly songs on YT. I think, we don't expect miracle - KEx is an amazing piece of work and we are really grateful for it to you and Tihiy.
  24. No you're not alone - I have some distortion with sound, which I don't have with previous version of Flash (10.0.45.2).
