  1. I've got similar message with latest version. You haven't such a problem with previous one?
  2. It's really strange because updates for Win 98 are available on Microsoft Download Center: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/search.aspx?q=Windows%2098
  3. It means, it's not possible anymore to update Win98/ME via Windows Update? What about WindizUpdate?
  4. Xeno, honestly I'm a bit confused: as I see, you've committed yesterday a couple of new revisions on project page (on SourceForge) - it means, that you've started working on it again?
  5. It's pretty amazing to see possibility of running Firefox 5 or even 6 on those old systems. Felicitas, despite of those issues, you're doing a great job!
  6. I'm not sure if you'll find a driver for Win98/ME but look here: http://support.creative.com/Products/product_list.aspx?catID=1&CatName=Sound+Blaster#
  7. Xeno, I remember that in the past , two or three people were interested in helping you with this project but unfortunately you weren't at the time. Right now, when you've decided that you couldn't work on it anymore, it would be difficult to find someone willing to take it over from you. Among those whom I know from this forum, Tihiy (who used to help you) has got the required knowledge and skills. Judging by the fact, that he hasn't updated his own project (Revolutions Pack) for over eight months, it is rather theoretical possibility. Btw, no matter what happens with KEx in the future, I'm extremely grateful for all you've done!
  8. Chipset manufacturers' drivers are definitely official - I have AsRock motherboard and I've been using them (from former ULI ELectronics). Motherboard makers usually use them too, eventually they modify them.

    Firefox 5

Frogman, you've created thread about Firefox 4.0, then 4.01 and right now 5.0. When Mozilla will release Firefox 6.0 we should expect a new topic?
  10. Personally, I haven't tested them but because SeaMonkey 2.0.xx using the same version of Gecko engine as Firefox 3.5xx , it should work without problem. As the Opera, you can use a Turbo function (in the case of slow connection).
  11. I have access to them only when I'm running video - I can't do that in a normal way (via Start button).
  12. Sicksalad, xrayer - thank you guys! I've used older ffdshow (from September 2010) and I can confirm that build 3851 (from 12 May) works indeed. I will try a newest version too. Btw, do you have direct access to the control panels of it?
  13. Rjecina is correct: this motherboard using nForce3 250 chipset and you can find drivers for it (on Nvidia webpage or other place). Older version of HT would have a rather small impact on overall performance. Btw, Rjecina, ALiveDual-eSATA2 is IMHO even better because of the presence of PCI-E slot (also 2 x SATAII/ 1 x eSATAII connectors).
  14. I can confirm that: I have been lately using Opera 11.50 more often and IMHO, it is a significantly faster browser than Firefox 3.5/3.6. Unfortunately, Java 6 (update 26) doesn't work with it, also its extensions system isn't so good as in Firefox.
  15. I'm curious, it is AGP or PCI-E version of it?
  16. Yes, I have tried Foxit Reader 5.0 but I've got the same message as you. I'm using also Foxit 4.3.1 (build 323). Btw, you haven't problem with installation of it?
  17. I hope we will see a new version of KernelEx sooner or later. As the Opera 11.50 : I haven't tested it very thoroughly (Firefox 3.6 is main browser) but except Java I haven't seen any problem (issue with download manager has gone). I would even prefer Opera if its extensions system were similar to Firefox.
  18. I have 4.5.1 version and Win98 SE. Yes, it was tested on pluginchecker (Mozilla plugincheck too) and other sites and everything is ok. Btw, I've uninstalled a previous version before I've started install a new one (offline installer).
  19. Yes, I've installed successfully update 26 using a silent mode.
  20. Xeno, I'm really pleased that you've released 4.5.1 version. Finally, it was possible for me to install and successfully run VLC Player 1.1.9 - then, I've updated it to the most recent 1.1.10 version. Also some small glitches with one or two programs has disappeared. Btw, I would like to know (like others as I guess) there's chance for next update in upcoming months?
  21. The same - only difference is JRE 6u25.
  22. I hope it doesn't mean, that we shouldn't expect any new version in predictible future - IMHO, it's most important project for our small community. Anyway, thank you warmly for update!
  23. Yes, quite serious problem (at least for me): Java 6 update 24 classic plugin doesn't work with it (the same case as with Opera 11.10).
  24. I'm not so sure, they could release one more version as it was with Firefox 2 (2.0.0.20). Btw, judging by this link it's possible: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-firefox-3.5.x-l10n/
