nice find and the price is good too. Is the speed comparable to doing a full install or faster? Do you have to reformat to the partition you used before or does it recreat partitions?

If you are going to burn dvds I would go with a bigger HD. DVDS as well as stored avi will take up a lot of space

Ive noticed this but as james says it is cosmetic I still have full functionality to burn and play dvds

I too had a bad infection. I did a LLF and reinstalled everything, guess what it was still there. There are some virus that are very resilliant(resident virus) they will hide in memory when threatened. With these do a LLF and then before you install OS unplug memory and let them discharge totally before reinstalling them. I know I will get a negative responce for this reply but I am ready to defend myself.

start>run>(type msconfig in command box)toggle over to boot.ini untick everything except safe mode. reverse these steps when through

try entering safe mode using msconfig

reboot computer when or before you hear beep press delete search for boot order and chang it to boot off cd remember these steps so you can change back to boot off HD 0

look in setup.ini and this will tell you all if you know what you are looking for

reboot computer when or before you hear beeb press delete this should bring up bios look for the boot order Why do you think you must run ERD? This has a much higher learning curve than trying to figure out how to change the boot order. This boots into a mini windows. What do hope to accomplish from there?

If cooling is a big issue water cooling is the way to go. kits are available online

actually you should set it for the puter to manage size and minitor it with highest load, set it just a little higher than that keeping min and max the same

you should be ok for most needs just set min and max the same to prevent frag of data
