Ive been working on installing windows xp x64 on my desktop but any flashdrive tool ive used so far seems to not detect the harddrive during setup or just blue screens before it gets there it been getting really annoying and would be much appreciated if someone could help.me find a workaround or fix for this issue-legacyfan

  6. eventually I might try again but for now I'll just stick with what I know (and what I'm known for)
  7. with as much issues as I had probably no (my entire linux version got corrupted from my doing nothing that could of corrupted it) and the magically disappearing wifi driver issue

(Update) something happened with the wifi driver disappering mysteriously making it impossible to get it to reinstall or fix the issue along with linux somehow corrupting itself completely the entire linux install while in the process of fixing it. (I would definitely still reccomend linux but only for experts that know how to handle it)

  10. are there any good tips on this? Im working on improving the performence a little more and would like to know the best options going forward if anyone has experience with linux or knows about this kind of thing it would be much appreciated

  12. I also have windows 10 still on a 2nd HDD for windows only application (but not as my main os)
  13. are there any good recommended browsers for linux? I'm looking for a good browser and would like some input on ones that would be good thanks
  14. after years of using older versions of windows ive finally decided its the best time to move to linux with win11 still being terrible and browser support for older windows versions getting lower by the day ive decided to really get into linux as my main operating system from now on (but will stay on to help with questions and post)
  15. I would recommend linux mint for a linux version its very beginner friendly and easy to use (and also still has the windows look and feel) and is designed as a smooth option to using windows I actually switched to linux not that long ago as well and mint has been wonderfully for me
