Sounds very much like your monitor is over-contrast to begin with. Try lower your contrast first, as full RGB looks amazing and shouldn't put strain on eyes.

by btarunr Apr 24th, 2024 10:38 Microsoft over late-Tuesday started distributing the KB5036980 optional update to Windows 11 users, which effectively makes the operating system adware (software that displays ads to support its author). The update gets the Windows 11 Start Menu to display ads in the "Recommended" section that suggests apps and games for you to download from the Microsoft Store, subscribe to Copilot Pro, etc. While the update is currently optional, the changes contained in it will be made part of next month's "Patch Tuesday" update. This wouldn't be the first time Microsoft is advertising software, the OEM versions of Windows 11 can be customized by PC manufacturers to pre-install bloatware, or suggest apps or services for users to buy within the Start or Apps menus. You usually uninstall the pre-installed bloatware, and dismiss recommendations. Today's update is different, in that even the Retail versions of Windows (without the bloatware) start receiving ads. Luckily, these ads are not inescapable, you can disable them. Do you have Enchantress update? After the Enchantress patch they had "fixed" the low volume "issue", I didn't have that issue with the volume with only the basic game set, and had to turn it down drastically to avoid hearing damage.

You're indeed right! I fired up my old VPN client at home, not work, and I get unauthorized HTTP error 403 at imgur! But I also get that freaking spacer.png (not always! On random) without it, using Thorium, go figure!

I suggest to simply delete that possibly infected Trojan executable file. It works without it! I think it's safe to assume it can be a part tracking/spying features. I mean, if the browser works fine without it!

Saxon simply reported non working page error, whether it's Thorium related or not, is still to be determined, and you started your usual off-topic activities with the crap posting, link. I got absolutely another error, I assumed it was (most probably) related to MSFN website/editor, I didn't have any errors upon visiting the page directly, I didn't know it was an imgur link, I thought the image was attached, that's why I made a screenshot with spacer. png, and UCyborg already helped, so why you just start minding your own business, and leave us be? When I once tried Windows 7 on a GTX 9800 ++, it had weirdly shaking windows, all windows could just start to shake all at once for no apparent reason. Vista got no problems on the same PC. Many years later I installed an updated Win 7 ISO on that PC, and there was no such issue anymore. Fixed in the updates? Windows 7 and server 2008 R2 are very buggy.
