Despite what the "Collaborator" wrote: "Many flags have been added from Ungoogled Chromium, with more planned in the future." https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/discussions/402#discussioncomment-8848901 People write there are "connections to google's servers" https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/discussions/402#discussion-6398329 Do you see the same in Thorium?
-
I know some still keep saying those two aren't clones, but win32 already explained, all in details, to stop rumours and guesses about the "Ungoogled". https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/494#issuecomment-2067095394 "I am presently working on the --ungoogled-supermium switch, and an installer option to ensure that the browser is only run in this state if necessary. The --ungoogled-supermium switch is mostly based on ungoogled-chromium core patches, but with a few extras from me. At this time I verified that it does not open any connections (specifically, to regional Google CDNs) when launching the browser. However I have just noticed that the Chrome Web Store and YouTube are effectively rendered useless with my latest commit. I will probably retain this behaviour, but put in an opt-out for those who want to continue using those services."

Probably you already have your profile in the default location? If you launched your browser without that flag even once,

I found an error, you missed 1 letter in --disable-webgl

Tuta Mail adds new Quantum-resistant encryption to protect email
D.Draker replied to a topic in Web Browsers
People write it's dangerous Tutanota - "Either fraud or incompetence. No support. Hundreds lost. Absolute fraud. I don't know why I thought to go with these people over an established, reputable company. Can't believe how stupid I am. This company ate up ALL of the operating funds that my nonprofit had to work with, on what? Some bug? We never, ever agreed to this. Literally just signed up yesterday. Invoices are incorrect and mangled. If not intentional, VERY broken. Unresponsive support. SCAM." https://www.trustpilot.com/users/627cf4485f93600012c20263 Date of experience: December 09, 2023 More at TrustPilot Trustpilot. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/tutanota.de -
Tuta Mail adds new Quantum-resistant encryption to protect email

Trustpilot. This what verified, legit users think. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/tutanota.de "Stay far away from the "free" version. I have both free and "paid" version. The free version should not be even offered free. There is NO protection from spam or phishing even if you signal each and every email. You will be bombarded with every imaginable unfiltered email that's out there. The free version is buggy. Ex, cannot send emails, cannot receive emails or they arrive late. Notifications often sent by Tutanota offering to "report" the problem but nothing changes. The spam rules (online) are confusing if looking for help and because your a cheepy who doesn't pay too bad for you. Figure it out for yourself!!" Date of experience: December 14, 2023 -
Both SM an TH have terribly smudged, bright, too light fonts, whereas 360 has good, readable fonts, we already posted screenshots in Supermium topic. The reason I avoid both for now, I got an eye trauma after I fell off the second floor of an old hooch in Africa colonies, while on patrol, so it's especially hard for me to read now. What can I suggest? CatsXP 115 has very good, similar fonts to 360, also it switches off the stupid Direct write. But it *of course* includes China telemetry. Later on, CatsXP went the same road and made those terrible fonts, too! Excuse me for any errors, I temporarily don't see well.

Yes, strange, me neither! Probably some soft conflict?
-
It's rather expected, my guess is those two clone browsers are more optimized for older single/dual core. HT and the such might only slow it down! @NotHereToPlayGames, go to the BIOS and switch HT to OFF.

Where do you see derailing? I'm replying strictly regarding the tool you yourself suggested to the OP as a replacement for the icon, which it does, btw. The question is why does it need the "assistant" service?
-
Holy crap, it adds and runs a dedicated service! "Assistant"
-
I think we all understood it as you use it at home, too, no?

Posting test: string boot .ini causes HTTP 403 forbidden error

Very strange, I can post different links. I remember some users that were constantly posting random youtube videos were restricted, but you never spammed this forum. So, it's strange, indeed. As proof I can post: Crocodile Monitor (Varanus salvadorii) https://a-z-animals.com/animals/crocodile-monitor/ -
Good decision! Hi to you, too!

From what I understood, they want to power down the drive first.

First off, I so missed you, man! Let me hug you with my big arms! Be on your guard with the Group of Mean Trolls. The one in the hat already gave you a rather unwelcome greeting, despite knowing your situation! Try to ignore them, it drives them crazy. I'll support you with everything I can, please have a nice time, regenerate to the fullest!

Disregard if you use flags that disable GPU process completely. Like --disable-gpu
-
For Vulkan you need a fairly modern GPU (2016 and onwards) and Win 10. Some claim it may *probably* work with Win 7.

Encrypted ClientHello is currently supported, and it wasn't "teared" by Google. But it's absent in Thorium. This topic is about Thorium, not Supermium, some here still isnist those two "aren't clones". https://blog.cloudflare.com/announcing-encrypted-client-hello/
-
That's not the question I asked. Anyways, we can't even be sure it's on the level of the 114 engine. Many flags and/or functions are missing, just read on github.
-
@Sampei.Nihira's favourite "Encrypted ClientHello" - is missing from this browser. https://github.com/Alex313031/Thorium-Win/issues/199 As it was introduced quite a long time ago, in 115(?) or so, how can we be sure it's indeed v.122, and not that faked old engine 115 from the old China port? @NotHereToPlayGames, what do you think? Alex. F. didn't respond, so far.
-
Is Chrome telemetry stripped away from this browser? Someone checked?
-
I don't have to prove anything to anyone, I only wrote what I saw a very long time ago, I don't have a github account, I don't follow what's up there. But someone who distributes cr*cks would logically want to hide the real location, no? BTW, the username is still very Russian, and his English speaks for itself. By this very logic you would demand proof win32 is from Canada, right? As for me, I'm 100% certain win32 is from Canada. Alex F., on other hand, well, you know. In any case, don't use the browser if you're worried. Solved.
