  1. Thank you, @win32! My trust in you is unbreakable. I wish all the best to you and your projects!
  2. I don't agree. When a takedown happens, they freaking write it was a takedown! A recent example was when they took down Rabinovitch's "cra_ked" Chrome and Opera. In this case it had been cleared out completely.
  3. I agree with you, and everyone knows: I love @win32, but then again, win32 has an account here, all it would take just a minute to post a relaxing comment! Don't you think? I mean, we (at least I) deserve this much. I was always loyal to win32.
  4. If you ask me, MSFN team might wanna put a warning on both, at least until it clears out. If it ever clears out. @Dave-H
  5. You mean you helped with the siper fast Supermium's page deletion? One doesn't need to be a clairvoyant to predict millions of freak outs this evening.
  6. No, @66cats had scanned the whole installer, not that precise file. Look below. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186133-thorium/?do=findComment&comment=1267118
  7. I checked this page not long before it got silently deleted without any announcement. I find it strange, if you ask me. Remember they made a dedicated thread about their fake page? I'm sure they would've written in advance in such serious case. Fishy, very fishy. And the timing of @66catsreport indeed matches the deletion!
  8. Holy Hell! It's indeed 404. No page anymore. Probably too early to freak out? Or not? I mean, win32 always seemed like a nice guy to me, on the other hand, why the full deletion, esp, without any announcement?
  9. Four minutes is nothing! If we are to assume what they claim about "collecting, harvesting user data" is true. You need to accumulate some valuable info in your profile. Bank credentials (use fake ones).
  10. Thanks, but no one here uses installers, esp. the user named @NotHereToPlayGames. I too can give a rats arse to those installers. Could you be so kind to test the actual files and post in Spuermium's topic? /Thanks/
  11. There were reports of the same (or similar) malware before, in this topic. So, looks like it's not only in Win 10 versions. I remember, I suggested to simply delete that file. So, apparently, they read my advice and moved that malware into another *.exe file.
  12. Good for you! For me ... well, it kinda sucks, almost all extensions I used were free, but now are paid with the Manifest V3.
  13. The warning is there for ages. If you go to "manage extensions", click any extension and under "errors" you will see.
  14. The same Windows 7 Fix works for KARM: Headbang Edition v1.0.1 How to play on Windows 7: Install KexSetup_x64Rel.exe. Open “KARM\Binaries\Win64\KARM-Win64-Shipping.exe” file properties in Explorer, then “VxKex” tab. Check “Enable VxKex for this program” and “Report a different version of Windows, Windows 10” checkboxes, Apply.
  15. Has anyone else found malware in Thorium browser? "UPDATE: 5/14/2024: The malware was removed from the file PROXY.EXE and placed in another file, (PC\APPDATA\LOCAL\THORIUM\APPLICATION\123.0.6312.133\NOTIFICATION_HELPER.EXE). Both files are executable files. I would not trust this project until this concern is resolved." Detected by Bitdefender, Malwarebytes - detected: Trojan:Win32/Znyonm "A post on Microsoft's website claims this specific Trojan collects personal information, such as browsing history, and "uses it without adequate consent". https://www.reddit.com/r/browsers/comments/1coxjtu/has_anyone_else_found_malware_in_thorium_browser/?rdt=46843
  16. Basically any version without SP would do.
  17. Photos https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Windows+98+OEM
  18. No, you confuse RTM with OEM. The ones that sold with computers are OEM. Look on their stickers. RTM can be freely purchased on a DVD,
  19. Just found this. "Thorium is only about speed. From what I have read, it purposely includes the features of Chrome that help Google track you. Thorium is not a privacy browser." https://www.reddit.com/r/browsers/comments/17iyii4/comment/k707zyg/
  20. I shan't be surprised! Their motto "connecting people to "great "websites", lol. Yes, looks like tracking, I can't say I noticed it, I put the use on hold due to the brightness issues.
  21. [SOLVED] Can't locate the CMOS battery https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/cant-locate-the-cmos-battery-on-my-asus-z690-g.3746680/
  22. I know why it works with Opera 108, Dixel. Most likely, you ported the developer versions of Opera, which are beta based. In the final release of 122 Chrome they completely removed the ability to switch off the notorious tracking: "User-Agent Client Hints" (v122+) It sucks, sucks big time. Now everyone will know @VistaLover is on Vista x86, and Vistapocalypse is on iOS/iPhone. Documented case. https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium/issues/2887
  23. The new version of that "Modern Kyber Cipher" is broken, again. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186243-beware-new-quic-kyber768-quantum-resistant-mechanism-is-broken-workaround-to-disable-it-in-chrome-124
  24. "Kyber (Quantum-Resistant Mechanism) in Chrome 124 Leads to Web Connection Problems" by Luke Jones "Impact on Connectivity and Responses The introduction of the Kyber768 quantum-resistant key agreement algorithm, intended for TLS 1.3 and QUIC connections, has inadvertently caused connectivity issues. System administrators have reported on Reddit and other platforms that web applications, firewalls, and servers are dropping connections following the ClientHello TLS handshake." "To address these connectivity problems, Google has provided a temporary workaround. Users experiencing issues can disable the TLS 1.3 hybridized Kyber support in Chrome by adjusting the browser's flags. Similarly, administrators have the option to disable the PostQuantumKeyAgreementEnabled policy." 25. But the fonts aren't sharp. They are smudged.
