NEWS The new version 13.5.2001 is out ! (not sure if it's the last) The new version 13.0.2310.0 is out but already abandoned. (last) Why ? Because 13.5 and 13.0 are now merged under 13.6. The 13.0 is completely gone to history. No news regarding the engine itself , still the old one , but they claim to make fixes . That's why I partially moved to Kaftan Browser (had to) . It has newer engine and java. Despite what some say , it's very fast for me.

Just replace the folder you don't want with an empty file (WITHOUT extensions) , like on my screenshot. Solved. The same goes to any unwanted files , but in this case you'd need to replace it with an empty folder with the same name. Example 1. You don't want file douchbaggie.exe . Delete it and place there a folder called douchbaggie.exe (with the extension). Example 2. You don't want folder douchbaggie Delete it and place there a file called douchbaggie (WITHOUT extension) .

I usually get this "worker" when/if I spoof my UA as Firefrox. I don't know why , perhaps MSFN thinks firfeox is for douchebags that needs additional tracking , I dunno. But what other explanation there might be ? When I set it as some ordinary Chrome on W10 - ublock prevents it , no need for complications . The best way is to replace with blanks , of course ! Why ? Because I usually try to switch the adblocker off on MSFN (exclusively).

Still loads of bloat .The most evil junk is Service Worker , do you know what that is ? It's an encrypted fingerprint . Your fingerprint , it's a cookie that never expires. The website will know you had visited them before . Replace it with a blank txt file ASAP! If you scroll this topic several hundreds pages back , we discussed it with the original poster. I initiated the replacements with blanks because I was not satisfied with some telemetry which was still there. Regards.

1- The "dailybackup" may or may not appear . It depends on the sites you visit . For example, when I visit my gym site , it logs my activity. So putting a blank shan't do any harm. 2- All of these on my screenshot are replaced with blanks because they are pure spies. History functions without them.

Try the followinng . Find and eliminate the folder called DailyBackup and then place there an empty txt file (not folder!) without extension with the same name ! There's a huge number of files/folders you could replace , see mine. So you basically just replacing the collected bloat . Files with folders and vice versa. This will prevent them from being created in the future.

Dave , I'm sorry that happened. I warned and wrote to you and everyone else to use 7-zip and to extract the installer . You could also use it with any portable launcher you use and delete the junk files.

Hi ? Any Kabylake users here ? Someone experienced anything similar ? As per the off. specs Kaby-LAke needs 1.35 default VIN voltage, yet It's not stable for me. My mobo has a voltage switch (VIN), at 1.43v all fine and dandy, at 1.35 - random BSOD, esp. during cold boot.s Any ideas ? RMA the CPU ? Thanks.

Dave , your mobo must be very greedy ! I had a similar case in the past and a similar CPU with G31.smth mobo . Yes, it also allowed to use 3GB only, at first ! Then I went to the BIOS and switched on the function called smth like "Memory remap... , or remapping, allocating"? And it allowed me to use all 4 gigs !!! Later boards removed that function , but it was about 3.5GB , not 3.0 ! It worked with both Vista and XP. All 4GB could be used. Try it. Also , may switch off your onboard adapter in the BIOS or reduce its memory to 128mb. Regards.

Hi . VP9 hardware decoding is only available since the seventh generation of PureVideo HD (C). So we (you and I) wouldn't be able to use it , even if wanted to, because we have old cards . I have a 8 years old Titan X that doesn't support it. Also , the browser makes direct calls to the driver and then to the BIOS of your card to see what is available (hence many hardware related BSODs reported on unsupported hardware). How do I know this ? Simple. Vista doesn't support HEVC and VP9 officialy , yet the accelleration works on GTX1080 and drivers starting from 372.54. To see if it works on XP you can try GTX960 of GTS950 (the first cards to implement partial HEVC and VP9 support) . Irrelevant to our discussion . Ancient 11 version . We were comparing 13.0 and 13.5. You wrote yourself : 13.0 build 2206 is the one you prefer from the 13th branch. So why would you show the 11 !?! I have zero interest in it since I use modern websites (have to). No one's forcing you to make this new browser , I was just informing the community of the new 13.6 version released.

Oh really ?!? And what about no crashes with youtube, like at all ? Also , you wrote about your lockups , what flags do you use ? Could you show us ? Do you have --no-default-browser and --no-first-run ? You could try to disable the stupid check for your videocard completely --disable-gpu .

I'd suggest to extract it with 7-zip and replace the chrome.exe , chrome.dll , chrome_elf.dll, resources.pak files only in the prev. 13.5 version. Or try with the English skin from the previous 13.5 version, that would work , I guess . All of this if someone really can't wait to try . Don't forget to block the huge number of IPs . EDIT: I have an automatic patch to remove the telemetry from the chrome.dll . I can share , if you want me to.

Well ... 13.5 had brought huge improvements over any 13.0 version, despite our previous doubts. No more crashes with youtube and much faster scrolling in insta , for example. We can assume some fixes are still being applied to the original engine , hence the huge version number jump. This is a speculation , of course . But hey , they promised "Accelerated the engine". )))))) Also , looks like a somewhat bearable dark theme , finally !
