@win32, I hacked MK 11 and it works on Vista, absolutely marvellously with the 382.16 driver, min fps 60. Maybe you would be interested, if you have a DX11 card, even the lowest feauture_level 11.0 is fine. It downgrades itself with the hack from 12 to 11. Also, I solved the issue with that missing function in the kernel. P.S. Guys, I don't know about illegaly obtained copies though, so don't ask. My copy is legit. -
@win32 The situation is very weird. Yesterday I deleted the bloody nvwss.dll, rebooted, and my 378.78 ran without it just fine. From the descrition, it's crap, we don't need that file at all. So I think - don't add that N/A 345 function at all. Do you see any other stuff that is missing in NVCPL ? Why it can't normally boot when installed with 398 ? To diagnose, run the full installer and install with NVCPL to see. Do not use the "inf" install method. Before that I suggest to clean all old ones with DDU. 1 - Today I tried the CPL version you claim to use (from the 411.63 driver), it won't even boot with it ! (missing "NA") How do you run it ? 2- Yes. All of the 38x drivers (but I use iCafe), not the crap from Nvidia. I modded them a long time ago. Scroll back, I wrote it here. If you want, I can give you the links. 3- No. It is the bloody "NA" in nvWsS.dll missing 345 . EDIT: The question is, would ii be better to mod the CPL installer itself (it's a big package), or wait for the new kernel ? What is faster/simpler ? What that "N/A" function even does ?

Yes, it will. Though, I don't have Titan XP myself, only the "X". I tried it with GT1030 Pascal and GTX Titan X Maxwell. All is fine, follow the guide.

As a Windows Vista user, it will assumingly take until 2097 or 2098 for me to stop using it.

Core 2 Duo ??? Geez ! Did you test with 398.11 ? Now try 382.16 - being from MS website, it has much less calls to the kernel, so less CPU cycles.

Proton was made by a russian who lives in Germany, they just love Greek or Italian names, it was easy to guess. I have no proof that he is KGB, and not going to seek for it, but we may safely assume - every russian who has money and lives in the West = KGB. Also notice, heavy Java bloated wesites are usually Russian ! But hey, no Yahoo in that list ? Yahoo is safe ?

Hello, Zomba (grossly misspelled you with a couple of letters, lol), glad to hear from you ! There was a point of no return after 2001, when we silently agreed to the modern crappy state of things. Now it's too late, 'cause the jinn is out . All these"security" measures are a very good business. Look at how many "security agencies" and paramilitares are everywhere. It all brings good bucks.

Win32 confirmed and checked - my values are right. Who else you want to confirm it ? No other active members can do such type of modding. Ask God then ? Of course you need to extract it first ! Also you need to follow my tutorial precisely, (for 382.16 the values will be different, like I told you). And ,perhaps, ask the moderators for a tutorial on how to create a new topic, because I kinda have a feeling this is not the end of the story, far from it. EDIT: Far from it. It will not work because in 381.65 nvWsS.dll also missing 345 (0x0159) "N/A" in COMCTL32.DLL.

This is usually due to the nvWsS.dll missing 345 (0x0159) "N/A" in COMCTL32.DLL. NVCPL simply can't start . Win32, I suggest we talk here, because he can't even create a new topic, and from what I see, @Dave-H is not aginst it. So we can discuss another drivers here, right Dave ?

1 - Thanks, I know it because I tested myself on a GT1030 I bought because of him and wrote you about it. 2 - Icafe usually remove the "security" crap functions from the kernel, yes, 3 - Indeed they are ! I found them a long time ago . So I don't know why he can't launch any of these drivers. EDIT: Invite you to move the discussion back to my drivers .

There's no such function in the driver 382.16 I suggested for him, and I already gave him precise instructions what to mod. The only thing left is NVCPL. But the driver boots fine, see my topic and the link for 382.16 is there. I wouldn't suggest drivers with missing functions. Simpler for you . For 382.16 nvlddmkm.sys replace 4E6F with 4B72 AT OFFSET 160 (must be 0000080000 before it) Also 84C0740AB8BB0000C0 with 84C0EB0AB8BB0000C0 @win32, hi , I already helped him to mod, now will you (maybe) help him with the NVCPL, cause I'm done for today. Thanks.

I have an idea, why don't you try an older driver to mod ? 382.xx may fit your needs .Ask win32 to help you, maybe ? Ask him what to edit. This one works with your G1030; 382.16. I already told you, that 398.11 driver you ask about was made by win32 and it worked for me. This topic is about absolutely different driver !!! Please create another topic and discuss the issues related to another driver in another topic, thanks ! @Dave-H, could you please move absolutely unreated duscussions and questions about (not mine) 398.11 somewhere else ? Thank you. EDIT: Why do we need to do it ? Otherwise some may mistakingly assume the troubles belong to my driver.

You misunderstood what I wrote - the 398.11 should work with the first GDDR5 revision ! I checked myself that driver. But then again, it's better if win32 consults you regarding his driver.

There was (still is?) a real block on POF. It's not a techno forum, though. I have a user who writes me personal e-mails in which he notifies that he blocked me, but I never wrote him in the first place. Sorry, but this is just nuts. I got fed up with it and hit report on one of such inbox emails, like you told me to, but he still replies to my posts, asking super obvious (will not say retarded) questions, answers to which are shown right on the first page in that topic. So yeah, having no real block is very inconvenient.
