No hack was required that I am aware of. Rather, we had to become more precise and selective with telemetry removal. If you read through Humming Owl's "notes.txt" files, you will see that ALL occurrences of "googleapis" and "gstatic" were replaced, "without prejudice". My builds started out that way also, but then the more familiar I became with the program code, the more precisely I was able to remove telemetry without casting a "catch-all very-wide just-catch-EVERYTHING" net that caught the fish we weren't trying to catch. One of the unintended consequences of that "just-catch-EVERYTHING" net is that things were BROKEN all in the "name of" preventing unwanted telemetry. One of those unintended breaks was the translation feature (which I myself do not use, so can't speak toward - other than maintaining functionality for the users that do/did use that feature).

The whole idea seems moot to me. As if the forum owner somehow owes us all a place to jibber-jabber nonsensically like a Jabberwocky through the Looking Glass? I think we are all over-analyzing. When the forum goes down, are our lives so destitute that we can't find something else to do until it comes back up? If members share common interests and converse in other forums, all fine and dandy, but for the forum owner to somehow owe us an alternative? Like I said, the whole idea seems moot to me.

I cannot reproduce your F icon even with your skin.

I haven't found a method yet, but I would prefer insert-inline-end: to be replaced with right: by using Tampermonkey instead of Proxomitron.

Also, is it triggered by all MSFN links or just a few? Can you isolate if one of the advertisements is triggering the icon?

Can you PM me the skin's .srx file? I should be able to track down the icon and what triggers it.

Does it also show in Incognito Mode? Can you see any DNS traffic outside of MSFN when that icon displays? I don't get that icon in 360Chrome v13.5 on XP and I don't get any new icons in Marmaduke Ungoogled v113 on Win10. I suspect your skin has some embedded telemetry "trying" to get out and an unrelated telemetry removal is redirecting to www.google.com.

You will need to discuss that with the source of your skin/theme as you are not using my skin/theme.

If anyone wants to host the older versions, that is fine by me. The userbase for 360Chrome is far too small for me to consume that much storage space on my personal Dropbox account.

Netflix used to work on my version. But I disable "automatic" Widevine installation and leave it to the end-user to MANUALLY install Widevine (same goes for Flash as far as that goes). I haven't tried Netflix (or Hulu) via 360Chrome for several months. I suppose it's possible that older versions of Widevine get "blacklisted" on the server-side and I doubt there is any client-side fix if that is the case. I've never installed Silverlight (never trusted it, I avoid "installs" and seek "portable" alternatives instead). I rarely Netflix/Hulu via computer but I know for a fact that they both definitely used to work in 360Chrome v13 and v13.5 on XP. One of these weekends I may revisit to make sure Netflix/Hulu "still" works - but it's kind of low-priority at the moment.

This Proxomitron filter solves https://www.lner.co.uk/ by removing the "level 4" selector arguments and reverting to "level 3". Technically speaking, https://www.lner.co.uk/ is NOT using a "Level 4" selector. They're just using a 3rd Party CSS file written in a SLOPPY way to "protect" any possible 1st Party CSS declarations with the same name from 'accidentally' being applied to the 3rd Party same-name declaration. I do NOT classify this one (and so far only one!) example web site as any pre-v88 Chromium Fork as "requiring" a :not() Level 4 polyfill. It's just a sloppily-written CSS file striving to "protect" 3,954 declarations (which in and of itself is just an INSANE number of CSS declarations). Definitely to me! In my part of the States, I know people that are married for three years before they ever own a car! That is backwards to me, and I suspect to most - but not to all. Maybe that's just today's "kids"? But we also have at least half a dozen Indians (India, not Native American) working for us that are 40+ years old - and have never owned a car. I do not live in Manhattan. Think more along the lines of Nashville, TN, Louisville, KY, and Chicago, IL. But both the 20-something and the 40-something that I cite, they are "happy" with public transportation and being RENTERS. The Indian in my department moved to NYC for college, moved to the Midwest for a career, and lives in an apartment walking-distance from his career job.

The U.S. is very VERY confusing. People OFTEN want to make "blanket statements" in regards to the U.S. and that simply cannot be done. The U.S. is all over the map (politically, economically, religiously, you name it) in regards to this region versus that region, this State versus that State. You can't say something about Florida and it also be true about California. You can easily live without a car in New York City but not in "upstate" New York - but when people "hear" New York they don't ususally think of "upstate", they think Brooklyn or Manhattan. Same for the California countryside versus LA (Los Angeles) or San Diego or Santa Monica Pier. Global perception of "us" here in the States is often tied to "blue states" and not "red states". It's not all "black and white" despite the "human condition" always trying to minimize the complex into something simple. Something like that...

Nor have I. I didn't have these device options unchecked. I do disable a few network flags at startup.
