Well... Um... Seems to me that the forum admins and moderators really do not want us "regular members" to truly know why this is happening. They've hinted at knowing why it is happening, only to tell us "regular members" this: But even at that, they *CAN'T* fix it. Or so I have to assume. Or it wouldn't still be happening. I've never been hit with this redirect. NEVER. And yeah, that's a GOOD THING. I really don't think us "regular members" will *EVER* be told why this is happening. Even one (but not all) of our moderators had to set up a different browser just to visit MSFN. That, to me, rules out anything in the DNS Chain because his other browsers would seemingly also be affected. That, to me, indicates a CORRUPTION within his browser profile - but only he can test, axe the profile and all remnants *COMPLETELY* and see if the issue persists. On one hand, we can applaud the Apple iPhone route of not sharing "for confidentiality reasons". On the other hand, it only opens up a large can of Conspiracy Theories.

That's what I suspected. And also CONFUSES things, if you ask me. I hate to always use my city billpay as an example, but it is the ONE website that always FORCES me to upgrade my browser due to infinite loop unsolvable Cloudflare b&llsh#t. OFFICIAL Pale Moon does the same EXACT thing on the city billpay that OFFICIAL Chrome and OFFICIAL Chromium both do! They WORK until they don't (which is always when the version that I am running becomes TWO MONTHS OLD). Update to a version that is only ONE month old and they ALL can pass the Cloudflare b&llsh#t. Then a month later, the d@mn cycle repeats, ALL of them fail (infinite unsolvable loop) until again updated to something LESS than two months old. The same EXACT scenario has happened FOUR times in the past SIX months. Dang near clockwork! I swear, it's gotta be easier to hack into FBI servers than log into my city billpay! And for Official Pale Moon and Official Chrome to BOTH do this ???

"Passed" a few days ago. "Fails" today. Nothing changed on my end. Unsure if just a (un)timely coincidence.

Cloudflare isn't "out to get" UXP browsers. PERIOD. Cloudflare goes into an INFINITE UNSOLVABLE LOOP even in Chrome/Chromium/Supermim v144 on my city utilities billpay website. This has happened FOUR TIMES in the last SIX MONTHS. The city will not allow any web browser more than TWO MONTHS OLD to log in! You can access the web site and read the web site BUT YOU CANNOT LOG INTO THE WEBSITE. This has been discussed in the past. You have to have an account to log into in order to get the infinite loop Cloudflare. OFFICIAL Pale Moon (which is also UXP!) *IS* able to log into the website IF THE MOST RECENT VERSION. Why in H#LL the city won't allow ANY browser (be it Chrome/Chromium/Supermium AND EVEN UXP PALE MOON) that is more than a mere TWO MONTHS OLD is beyond me! What we need (all of us!) is a publicly maintained list of web sites being blocked by Cloudflare. I have provided my city billpay in the past, but it is USELESS to everybody else not living in my city or with an ACCOUNT TO LOG INTO. A maintained LIST of websites should help developers WAY better than our way-overused "Cloudflare isn't working".

Well, um, that's kind of a complex question. The easy answer - a heavily self-modified uBlock Origin version 1.52.2 [Sep 21, 2023] (uBlock is currently at version 1.70.x). The complex answer (and every bullet point is going to have opinions on "my side" and just as 'emphatic' opinions on the "other side", NOT MY PROBLEM) - 1) I view the 1.53.x branch as "experimental" due to initial stages of migration towards Manifest V3 and dumbed-down "uBlock Origin Lite" 2) yes, v1.52.2 is strictly Manifest V2 and I force my Chrome/forks to use MV2 (as does Supermium but I'm not 100% sure on this) a) uBO Lite (MV3) is INFERIOR and nobody should ever switch to it! (in my humble opinion) i) requires updating the entire extension instead of just updating lists - biggest B&llSh#t methodology EVER !!! ii) no longer allows "dynamic filtering" iii) no longer allows "custom filters" b) may require seeking alternative solutions once Chrome/forks eventually no longer allow MV2 to be "forced" 3) v1.54.x deployed an update mechanism that auto-updates every 5 hours - another biggest B&llSh#t methodology !!! 4) v1.54.x removed the "Purge All Caches" button and forces users to use only "differential updates" 5) must modify to my liking as I disapprove HEAVILY with uBlock's DATA COLLECTION and STORAGE a) no, uBlock does not SEND that STORED DATA COLLECTION to "anybody" - DO NOT CARE b) the "collection" grows and grows and grows and grows and grows - biggest B&llSh#t methodology EVER, I have NO USE for this "collection" i) my "profile" size on disk is MONITORED ii) ANY extension that INCREASES this disk size due to DATA COLLECTION is modified heavily to prevent this B&llSh#t DATA COLLECTION iii) do not care if that DATA ever leaves my machine or not, the very act of COLLECTING IT is a violation of Privacy Rights, in my humble opinion iv) these types of LOCAL-ONLY DATA COLLECTIONS is the very start of how DATA BREACHES begin, "sorry, millions of users, that data was intended for local use" 6) I'm very "opinionated", I could make this list extend into TRIPLE-DIGITS, but that probably is just some form of liking to hear myself talk

No, ad-blocking is not built in. Brave (extremely bloated in my opinion) does include ad-blocking. Chrome (and all forks of Chrome) do have "ad privacy" settings, but nothing anywhere near ad-BLOCKING. You can test your ad-blocking score on sites like (there are others, of course): https://adblock-tester.com/ Scores of 90 or higher are considered good. You should be fine. Pretty much all "popular" *FREE* hosting cites have their issues (you get what you pay for). Generally, NO HARM in downloading an incorrect file, just don't execute it. And when the first download PER SAFE HEX INTUITION was not correct, just download again, and again, and again until the "you get what you pay for" hosting cite finally coughs up the file you ASKED FOR. Ad-blocking to prevent the popup only gets you so far. It's still SAFE HEX INTUITION that has to be so embedded into "browsing psyche" that even a ZERO-DAY that sneaks past each and every ad-block defense wall you have still DOES NOT CATCH YOU OFF GUARD.

I personally always felt that "installing" update hotfixes had a major tendency to SLOW DOWN my computer. But the same EXACT "hotfix" SLIPSTREAMED into my XP install disk, REFORMAT then REINSTALL from that SLIPSTREAMED disk always presented a MUCH FASTER computer. RyanVM.net was always a good source for "update packs" to SLIPSTREAM. I always felt that installing hotfixes one by one resulted in an OS that had to zig-zag between pointers to find anything, instead of the faster straight line approach with no zig-zags.

This really is something that EVERY user of the "'net" MUST LEARN !!! PRACTICE SAFE HEX !!! You (collective pronoun, not any "one person") MUST learn to RECOGNIZE a "fake tab", a "fake download button", a "redirected popup". OR - you *WILL* find yourself a decade or two from now as one of those "innocents" *SCAMMED* out of THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS because you clicked on something that "looked real". PRACTICE SAFE HEX !!!

It downloaded fine for me, no registration or anything. These file-hosting sites OFTEN require an ad-blocker to prevent FALSE tabs from popping up that DECEIVE you into thinking that tab is the download. Sometimes, it's not really even an "ad", but some form of 'race condition' where their server directed you to the WRONG FILE (intentional malware distribution?). PRACTICE SAFE HEX !!! That's what we used to call it. Sometimes these free file-hosting "intermission ads" will pop up a FALSE tab. Keep it open, return to the original, click the download button again, keep doing that until you see the file size and file name that you are EXPECTING to see. To be honest, I do not have a clue how "this" file-hosting site behaves WITHOUT my ad-blocking in place. I only know that HISTORICALLY, these file-hosting cites will behave ONE WAY here at home, another way AT WORK, and still yet an entirely DIFFERENT WAY at my brother's house. All dependent upon the computers ad-blocking methods. BE CAUTIOUS OF ANY TABS THAT POP UP, THEY MAY BE THERE JUST TO *DECEIVE* YOU INTO CLICKING !!!

A script or bat file seems an easier route (to me) than finding a version of a third-party tool that hasn't been around for 15yrs.

And the person behind the DRAMA has been removed from the dev team. TIME TO MOVE ON. That saga has been OVER for a VERY long time. There really is NO NEED to rehash ANY of it.
