  1. I have read in the past that colleagues have copied all Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) documents before they were deleted from Microsoft servers, where is it possible to download them? I now need to read document KB296241 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296241 Internet archive.org is currently not working. Thanks

  3. I had unofficial Chrome pending test on XP and it gives the following error after installing: chrome.exe - Entry point not found AcquireSRWLockExclusive procedure entry point not found in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have found another Chromium variant running on XP: Liebao aka Cheetah Secure Browser 2019122601 by Kingsoft (chromium 57) https://www.liebao.cn/ Change language Chinese to English: https://malwaretips.com/threads/liebao-cheetah-browser.381 Portable https://www.portablesoft.org/down/3022/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have also found a crack to remove the telemetry from 360 Extreme Explorer Chinese version, as well as make other modifications. http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=49673 (info russian language) https://www.mediafire.com/folder/b1q43tro1oqkf/360EE (directory) http://www.mediafire.com/file/ji0mkqwfja6v7ej/360.extreme.explorer.11.0.1000.0%2B-patch.zip/file (direct download) A universal patch to change the Chinese extensions store to Google, replace Chinese search engine with google, disable more explicit telemetry, partially disable component integrity checking and disable default font verification for versions 11.0.1000.0 and higher. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On this website there is a list of several compatible Chromium XP (Russian language) http://gallery.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&active=3&topic=47297&start=1800
  4. I have no experience on Chrome. I come from using Firefox, K-Meleon, New Moon and derivatives. I have many computers and many have old hardware. Only when the Firefox version has become really very slow have I realized that Google Chrome 49 is much faster. So, thanks to an earlier comment on this thread, I have tried all Chinese browsers based on Chromium on Windows XP and also on Windows 10 @redapple0204 Those that work on XP are the following: (please examine file with a good antivirus before running, some seem to have introduced viruses) -2345 Explorer (there is only in Chinese language) http://ie.2345.cc/ (for PC) https://app.2345.com/ (for phone) -360 Extreme Explorer (webkit adapted to Blink + Trident (IE according to web compatibility) 360 Extreme Explorer” is the real name today for international version of Chinese explorer “360 Secure Explorer”. I am mainly using 360 Extreme Explorer, now with the modified version in Russia on a Pentium IV 3.06 Ghz with HT / FSB 533 / RAM 2 GiB / hard disk ATA-133 rpm 5400 K-Meleon and New Moon @roytam1 do not work at a decent speed on this Windows XP computer exploring several tabs on various classes of web pages (for example XDA developers). Although these do work very quickly on the same computer with Windows 2000 (the version number is different). While: 360 Extreme Explorer 11.1.1141.0 works very fast on Windows XP. 360 Extreme Explorer 12.0.1014.0 beta? It doesn't work so fast on Windows XP. So my decision is 360 Extreme Explorer 11.1.1141.0 This works very very fast until I open 30-40 tabs, then 360 starts to pull cache memory and becomes very very slow. Also when I close 360 Extreme Explorer and reopen with more than 15 tabs it takes 20-30 minutes to be available, as well as slows down the entire Windows XP operating system, not being able to use even the Windows file explorer in those 20-30 minutes that is cache memory working. I ask you for instructions to eliminate 360 Extreme Explorer working with cache memory and to reduce the number of tabs that are kept in RAM at the same time. I have the desktop shortcut with "-disk-cache-size- <0>" but it doesn't seem to work: "C: \ EXPLORERS \ 360 Extreme Explorer (Russian version) \ Chrome \ Application \ 360chrome.exe" -disk-cache-size- <0> --disable-logging --disable-component-update --disable-background- networking --allow-outdated-plugins --cipher-suite-blacklist = 0xcc14
  5. Recently a curious fact happened to me on USB disks. After firmware updating the reader Logilink USB 3.0 IDE & SATA, the device has stopped reading USB hard drives larger than 2TB. I had to claim Logilink support send to me the oldversion firmware AU0028A v.915 for it to work again. "It seems that someone is upset because we have large hard drives on Windows 2000 and XP"
  6. I think, without having performed a physical test, that the system works because: 1- BIOS / UEFI supports LBA48 2- The driver ahcix86.sys 3.1.1540.86 supports LBA48 3- Format in 2048 bytes per sector has a 8 TB maximum partition size. Example: 512 cluster 2 ^ 32x512 = 2TB limit 2048 cluster 2 ^ 32x2048 = 8TB limit 65536 cluster 2 ^ 32x65536 = 256 TB limit It may be normal for this disk to not work on Windows Seven (NT 6.1) if the system is not updated. Only the latest versions support MBR discs larger than 2TB. The hard disk has to work correctly in Linux, at least since 2010, and in Windows 10. Recently a curious fact happened to me on USB disks. 7. In the official Chinese version 11.0.2251.0 it does not exist "accept_languages" in the preferences file. Any idea how to force 360 Extreme Browser to display web pages in specific languages? Can you paste here the lines that come in the Russian version?
  8. I am looking for information to run .Net 4.5 on XP. Is there any discussion post about it? I have found the information about the Mono project, but it is impossible to run Mono 4.0 on XP https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17499351/is-it-possible-to-run-a-net-4-5-app-on-xp
  9. Have you found a way to change the language with a language pack or another method?

  11. Currently I always use Windows 2000 SP3. In the past I have used official Windows 2000 SP4 and I have installed Opera 12.10 Beta. This requires UxTheme. dll, just paste this dll into one of the directories that asks for the popup message. For example the Opera installation directory. Then Opera 12.10 Works in w2000 SP4. I think that on Service Pack 4 has to work Opera 12.18 pasting uxtheme. dll In Service Pack 3 does not work me says: "Cannot find the entry point of the GdiDrawStream procedure in the dynamic link library GDI32. dll" This message appears to me randomly when running some programs. Before the message did not appear to me but now the message appears to me Can I update GDI32. dll? In the past I have had problems updating this DLL, Windows 2000 does not boot if you put GDI32. dll from Windows XP Note: This MSFN post Is down. Has it been erased? List of web browsers working with Windows 2000 https://msfn.org/board/topic/175185-list-of-web-browsers-that-work-on-windows-2000/ Discussions on what browsers work with patched and unpatched versions of Windows 2000
  12. *Edit: I have Windows XP with 3.5 GiB RAM Until now I was with an integrated Ati video card without any problem. I tried to install 2 PCI-e cards, one is Ati and the other Asus with chip Nvidea Gforce 7300 LE-HTD-256 With the Ati I have conflict issues with the drivers, since when installing them, the integrated drivers are also updated and, when Windows starts, it emits the blue screen unless I disable the integrated graphics card in the device manager. So I decide to install the Nvidia. But nothing else that I put it in the PCI-e slot when starting Windows says that I only have 2 GiB RAM, I tried to install the drivers and the result is the same. I verify that in all Windows NT5 this card limits the RAM memory system to 2GiB, regardless of the installed memory. In the BIOS I do not see any option to correct this except to disable the "Memory Remap Feature" option which increases the limit up to 2.6 GiB RAM There is a solution? The Nvidia video card have only 256 MiB VRAM, I do not know why it limits my RAM to 2 GiB
  13. Solved. Now it works, the dll was missing, thanks. I have studied the hal change on cloned Windows XP and I have written 2 methods. I have written them in Spanish and translated for you with Google Translate, I am sorry if there is an automatic translator error. CHANGE HAL: It may be necessary to force the NTLDR loader to load an alternate kernel and HAL. In Windows 2000 it can be done directly in the Device Manager in the Computer section. However, in Windows XP you can only change to a standard PC and you cannot return directly to ACPI without applying one of the following 2 methods, the end result of which is identical since the correct and renamed files are finally copied into the system32 folder: -METHOD A (manual copy, copying and renaming the correct files of a single type of HAL). -METHOD B (automatic installation of the system after loading files through a multi HAL boot.ini, which have been given a third name) (recommended for transferring to several computers). Note: When you switch from non-ACPI computer to ACPI and vice versa, the process of reinstalling all the drivers starts. -METHOD A (manual copy, copying and renaming the correct files of a single type of HAL). This method will preferably be done from another operating system, in order to prevent WFP from automatically recovering the files that we have overwritten before restarting the system. However, in practice, it is not usually the case that Windows replaces the copied files, so we can try it directly from the operating system itself. On the other hand, WFP is difficult to deactivate, and may require additional hardware. We go into the \ WINDOWS \ Driver Cache \ i386 folder and look for the files for the corresponding HAL, in the order of appearance indicated in order to have the newest version. 1º-The uncompressed i386 folder itself 2º-Extracting from the sp3.cab file or the most current Service Pack installed. (they are not included in the driver.cab file) Later we copy them in a separate folder in order to rename the files that need it and thus paste them renamed into the system32 folder. Top 6 HAL types and their files 1-AT_PC standard, without ACPI or APIC: extract hal.dll ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlpa.exe and copy them into the system32 folder extract original> copy to system32 hal.dll> idem ntoskrnl.exe> idem ntkrnlpa.exe> idem Note: If the system is from an ACPI computer, it may be necessary to manually add the device driver "Compatible with Apm / Legacy on Windows NT" to enable APM shutdown, as well as clear the ACPI-related driver entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services, such as ACPI, ACPIEC, cmbatt, battc and compbatt (the system automatically hides them in the device manager, installing new compatible drivers, but they can be seen by activating the display of hidden drivers). 2-AT_MPS uniprocessor equipment, with APIC: We extract halapic.dll ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlpa.exe, rename halapic.dll to hal.dll and copy them to the system32 folder extract original> rename and copy to system32 halapic.dll> hal.dll ntoskrnl.exe> idem ntkrnlpa.exe> idem 3-AT_MPS multiprocessor equipment, with APIC: We extract halmps.dll ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlpa.exe, rename halmps.dll to hal.dll and copy them to the system32 folder extract original> rename and copy to system32 halmps.dll> hal.dll ntoskrnl.exe> idem ntkrnlpa.exe> idem 4-ATX Equipment compatible with Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), with ACPI but without APIC: We extract halacpi.dll ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlpa.exe, rename halacpi.dll to hal.dll and copy them to the system32 folder. extract original> rename and copy to system32 halacpi.dll> hal.dll ntoskrnl.exe> idem ntkrnlpa.exe> idem 5-ATX PC ACPI Monoprocessor, with ACPI and APIC (ACPI Monoprocessors) We extract halaacpi.dll ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlpa.exe, rename halaacpi.dll to hal.dll and copy them to the system32 folder. extract original> rename and copy to system32 halaacpi.dll> hal.dll ntoskrnl.exe> idem ntkrnlpa.exe> idem Note 1: By Windows XP error this HAL is wrongly shown in Device Manager as ACPI Multiprocessor using any method. Does it depend on the computer used? Note 2: When loading this HAL 5-Monoprocessor from HAL 4 surprisingly, the files corresponding to the HAL 6-Multiprocessor ACPI are automatically installed, although in this first boot it works as a monoprocessor it will not be installed, when restarting it will behave like HAL 6-Multiprocessor. To save your real files you have to copy them again (do the process 2 times) and it only works from method A, they are not installed. Does it depend on the computer used? Note 3: From this installed HAL 5-Monoprocessor it is not possible to change to the HAL 6-ACPI Multiprocessor with Method B without first changing to HAL 1 or 4. The system will boot as HAL 6 but only thanks to taking the files indicated in boot.ini, not installing for the next reboot where a normal boot.ini loads. 6-ATX ACPI multiprocessor equipment, with ACPI, APIC and multiprocessing (multicores or HT like Pentium IV HT) We extract halmacpi.dll ntkrnlmp.exe ntkrpamp.exe, we rename them consecutively by hall.dll ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlpa.exe and copy them into the system32 folder. extract original> rename and copy to system32 halmacpi.dll> hal.dll ntkrnlmp.exe> ntoskrnl.exe ntkrpamp.exe> ntkrnlpa.exe We restart and once the system has started the correct hal is installed, then without touching anything we will have to wait until the system asks us to restart again. It may take up to a couple of minutes depending on the speed of your computer. This restart is not usually indicated going from hal 5 to 6 and vice versa, so it is not necessary but you have to make sure that it has been installed correctly. Possible mistakes: -The system does not send a restart: Possibly the same kernel file has been loaded (the real kernel has probably been confused with a renamed one, check in the right button "properties + version + original internal name"). (It is normal that it does not send a restart if you are changing from HAL 5 to 6 or vice versa). -A flashing white dash appears on reboot: A wrong kernel file has been loaded (for example, a HAL library with the wrong kernel or a PAE kernel without PAE activated has been introduced. If we have modified HALs or kernels, it may also happen that Windows has automatically restored the original kernel, while it has been preserved modified HAL library). METHOD B (automatic system copy after loading files via a multi-hal boot.ini given a third name) (recommended for moving to multiple computers): We go into the \ WINDOWS \ Driver Cache \ i386 folder and look for the files for the corresponding hal in this order of appearance: 1º-The uncompressed i386 folder itself 2º-Extracting from the sp3.cab file or the latest installed service pack. (not included in driver.cab) We copy them to another folder, rename them as indicated and paste them into the system32 directory, for example renamed to characters numbered with a maximum of 8 characters. (It is necessary to rename them with any third name, otherwise the system when loading several HALs would catch the renamed files by itself) The first 5 HAL share.exe files plus their PAE variant, which is what affects us in this mod. The dll's are numbered hal1, hal2, hal3, hal4, hal5, hal6 to be able to introduce them all in various Windows clones and use at the convenience of the system where the installation is pasted (instead of using hallnew.dll). Top 6 hal types and their files 1-AT_PC standard, without ACPI or APIC: extract original> rename and copy to system32 hal.dll> hal1.dll ntoskrnl.exe> ntj1.exe ntkrnlpa.exe> ntj1pa.exe Note: If the system is from an ACPI computer, it may be necessary to manually add the "Compatible with Apm / Legacy on Windows NT" device to enable APM shutdown, as well as clear the ACPI-related driver entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services, such as ACPI, ACPIEC, cmbatt, battc, and compbatt 2-AT_MPS uniprocessor equipment, with APIC: extract original> rename and copy to system32 halapic.dll> hal2.dll ntoskrnl.exe> ntj1.exe ntkrnlpa.exe> ntj1pa.exe 3-AT_MPS multiprocessor equipment, with APIC: extract original> rename and copy to system32 halmps.dll> hal3.dll ntoskrnl.exe> ntj1.exe ntkrnlpa.exe> ntj1pa.exe 4-Equipment compatible with Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), with ACPI but without APIC: extract original> rename and copy to system32 halacpi.dll> hal4.dll ntoskrnl.exe> ntj1.exe ntkrnlpa.exe> ntj1pa.exe 5-PC ACPI monoprocessor, with ACPI and APIC (monoprocessors, BIOS and chipset with ACPI) extract original> rename and copy to system32 halaacpi.dll> hal5.dll ntoskrnl.exe> ntj1.exe ntkrnlpa.exe> ntj1pa.exe Note 1: By Windows XP error this HAL is wrongly shown in Device Manager as ACPI Multiprocessor using any method. The system will boot as HAL 6 but only thanks to taking the files indicated in boot.ini, not installing for the next reboot where a normal boot.ini loads. 6-ACPI multiprocessor equipment, with ACPI, APIC and multiprocessing (multicores or HT like Pentium IV HT) extract original> rename and copy to system32 halmacpi.dll> hal6.dll ntkrnlmp.exe> ntj2.exe ntkrpamp.exe> ntj2pa.exe Now it is necessary, during the first Windows startup, that the loading of the new HAL is added in the final part of the line of the boot.ini file for Windows to install it (/kernel=*.exe /hal=*.dll ). If we start without PAE we will introduce the kernel files without the addition "pa" and if we start with PAE we will add the corresponding files with the addition "pa" in addition to adding the / PAE command. Later we can boot the system with our usual boot.ini: For each type of HAL it would be the corresponding one, without PAE, and adding the correct number for our hard disk in multi, disk, rdisk and partition: (below I suggest creating a multi-loader boot.ini adaptable to all systems) (for PAE change the name of the kernel file adding "pa" (ex: ntj1pa.exe; ntj2pa.exe) and the command / PAE) 1-AT_PC standard, without ACPI or APIC: [boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos /hal=hal1.dll /kernel=ntj1.exe 2-AT_MPS uniprocessor equipment, with APIC: [boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos /hal=hal2.dll /kernel=ntj1.exe 3-AT_MPS multiprocessor equipment, with APIC: [boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos /hal=hal3.dll /kernel=ntj1.exe 4-ATX Equipment compatible with Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), with ACPI but without APIC: [boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos /hal=hal4.dll /kernel=ntj1.exe 5-ATX PC ACPI Monoprocessor, with ACPI and APIC (ACPI Monoprocessors) [boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos /hal=hal5.dll /kernel=ntj1.exe 6-ATX ACPI multiprocessor equipment, with ACPI, APIC and multiprocessing (multicores or HT like Pentium IV HT) [boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \ WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos /hal=hal6.dll /kernel=ntj2.exe In this way we can create a superloader leaving our original boot line intact and adding all the mentioned lines that vary *. 14. My Windows XP doesn`t have a dll named NTKRPAMP.EXE If I find, in which folder it is necessary to copy. I'm reading that all this is related to the different hal layers, something I had not studied very much when I cloned systems Edit: I extract NTKRNLMP.EXE and NTKRPAMP.EXE from the SP3.CAB file and rename them by NTOSKRNL.EXE and NTKRNLPA.EXE Then I copy them into the system32 folder (this allows me to do it in normal Windows mode). Reboot and the initial screen says: "1 multi-core processor" (if reinstall Windows says 4 processors) But at this moment the system freezes blocking the screen. I want to put the correct hal but while ... Can I go back to the hal "ACPI compatible computer"? I have a complete copy of the system image. What files do I have to copy to return to the previous hal? Thanks
  15. Oh, my god. ACPI now does not work. I have uninstalled the driver "Computer compatible with ACPI". When rebooting the system, all system drivers have been reinstalled and then Windows XP says that my PC is a standard PC without ACPI. I can not find a way to reset the ACPI compatible PC driver and remove the standard PC driver. I have restored a previous system registry and now in the device manager I see the 2 controllers at the same time: -Computer compatible with ACPI -PC standard But the 4 cores do not appear in the device manager and Windows XP does not have ACPI.
  16. In that section, it only gives me two options: -PC standard -Computer compatible with ACPI. The ACPI Hal multiprocessor controller does not appear. The computer is working correctly but I'm surprised that on the Windows load screen it says 1 processor instead of 4. Once Windows starts, in the device manager it shows 4 processors. How can I verify that the 4 cores work?
  17. I made a Windows XP clone from a mono-core computer to a quad-core computer (Intel Core 2 Quad q6600) The 4 cores are displayed in the device manager. But on the system boot screen in the boot.ini / SOS mode, it shows 1 single processor. On the Internet there are many websites that say that to start with the 4 cores, you must enter the variant / numproc = 4 with msconfig, but my Windows XP only shows the number 1. Therefore, I entered the variant manually in boot.ini When I restart Windows on / sos mode, it keeps saying that I only have 1 processor. If I reinstall Windows, then it shows 4 processors but I lose several installed programs. I want it to show 4 processors without reinstalling Windows. msconfig / numproc = 4 does not work [boot loader] wait time = 30 default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (3) \ WINDOWS [operating systems] multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (3) \ WINDOWS = "Windows XP Pro" / fastdetect / noexecute = optin / sos / numproc = 4 multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (2) \ WINNT = "Windows 2000 Pro" / pae / sos
  18. Can you recommend a program to control the CPU frequency?
  19. I see this information by chance. I did not know that Opera 12 had been receiving security updates until February 15, 2016. I can not test Opera 12.18 at this time on Windows 2000 Sorry if it does not work. https://www.ghacks.net/2016/02/16/surprise-opera-12-18-has-been-released/ https://blogs.opera.com/security/2016/02/opera-12-and-opera-mail-security-update/ Download: ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/win/1218/

  21. I am creating a package to update root and intermediate certificates on Windows XP, since I have not found anything on the Internet. After a few days I will publish it here, but first I want to correct some mistakes. Several certificates give the following error: "The certificate has a digital signature that is not valid" I just reviewed the SHA-2 algorithm and see that it is compatible with Windows XP SP3. I also installed the SHA-2 Crypt32.dll update found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/968730/windows-server-2003-and-windows-xp-clients-cannot-obtain-certificates However, although older certificates do not fail, the most modern root and intermediate certificates still fail. For example: Root: Amazon Root CA 4 Amazon Root CA 5 DoD Root CA 4 DoD Root CA 5 Google Trust Services: Global Sign Root CA 4 GSM Association - RSP2 Root Cl1 Thawte Primary Root CA - G4 I link to Thawte certificates where they give the details of each of their certificates. The other certificates work fine but the G4 gives an error. https://www.thawte.com/roots/ Something similar happens with Google certificates, they do not work: GIAG3 ECC GTS Root R3 GTS Root R4 https://pki.goog/ I have tested all the certificates on Windows Seven and several certificates no longer give this error, although some also give an error. What can be the defect on Windows XP? Is it possible that there is a failure in the checks of the CRL lists or is it a failure in the algorithms?
  22. I explain it in the first comment of this topic, 16 pages ago. https://msfn.org/board/topic/176480-2-tib-limit-size-in-mbr-hard-drives/?do=findComment&comment=1135835 I work with 4 TiB & 3 TiB disks with the cluster size 4KiB on Windows 2000 & Windows XP. The image shows a 4 TiB disk with a single partition on Windows XP. But I have other 4 TiB discs with 8 partitions working correctly on NT 5 (2000 & XP). However, these same discs are not read by Windows NT 6.1 (commercially Windows Seven). Linux also reads them since 2010. They are also read by Windows NT 10 But Windows Seven does not read MBR>2TiB to me , neither by USB nor by SATA, it says Raw disc type, does not recognize them. I say it just for reporting, I will never use systems after NT 5 to work. So I do not care if it does not work on Windows Seven, although I think it's a frustrating trap.
  23. I suppose File Emulator also works on Windows 2000, right? Windows Seven also did not read MBR disks >2 TiB from SATA. I suppose that later Service Pack may have fixed this error.
  24. @rloew can you add a download link or more information? Finally, what is the work you have done in this post? Can any of you put a link to it? Is an extended MBR for SATA available for XP? I have read a summary of you but I have also read a discrepancy, so I do not have it clear. Note that I find it curious that you have done tests with MBR> 2TiB on Windows Seven. Years ago I did the test and it did not read MBR> 2TiB connected by USB. I recently did the same test on Windows 10 and it does read MBR> 2TiB At this time my data occupy 8 TiB. But at the user level I think I'm weird. Most people lose their data without caring, do thousands of photos and videos without worrying about saving or even they intentionally delete them. Most people think that the future is a cloud in which to store their data (so I see they do not care much if they get lost). Hard drives larger than 2 TiB do not fall in price. In recent years it has increased. The demand is only select. So I do not know if there will be a future above 256 TiB. For my part, I have everything I need saved well, so the size of my data will not increase much. I will always use Windows 2000 / XP / NT 5 for the rest of my life. If the users are organized, this may be possible.
  25. I would like to know how to update server certificates on any browser. Especially on Firefox. Microsoft has update packages with certificates but these are already obsolete. -The certificates that are installed automatically after visiting a web page after clicking on "get certified", are only for that web page? - Is it necessary to install or update the certificates of the various certification authorities "one by one" or is there a procedure to update all at the same time? - Is it possible to implement TLS 1.3 on Firefox 12?
