it automatically does it? that depends on your cpu and mobo. and if you selected the option in the bios. just boot into ur bios and look for overclocking settings and see what you can do, but most likely you wont be able to change the speed.

multisesion disk "should" work on all comps, but there are some the have problems with them. a dvd rw allows you to write over, erase, add, whatever you want to do to it.

this is the problem 95% of the time. its happened to me before too... i just love it when im freaking out trying to figure out why it wont work, then i see that the traces are still out a little... its strange how the card can be clipped into the mobo and screwed in to the backplate but still not seates properly

but the nv silencer is still extremely silent compared to the stock heatsinkf or the card...

well i need a new video card, mine just cant handle these new games, but of course i will only settle for ultimate settings. hopefully i can get some money for my old card and put it towards my new one. now that the 8900 series will be coming out, hopefully at the end of next month, i will be upgrading. just letting you guys see what the new cards will most likely be like and their prices. im not too sure on what i will be getting, maybe an 8900gs w/ 512mb or 8900gt. im just waiting for some benchmarks to start showing up...

you seriously think that the 7600 is better than the 7900? please look at reviews and benchmarks before you try to tell me that again.

Errrr...yeah, because all of my database servers at work have to be replaced every year since they're being hammered. Vista isn't going to make your hardware die faster. well it could. ive had my own experience with vista corrupting my hdd. i tried to get my data back, got some stuff but i just said , f*** it, its not that important. and i just cleared out my whole hdd and but xp x64 back on.

ya like said above, edit the boot.ini for the xp drive. you need to have it give u the option for xp or games, and you will select what to boot from here. you could also give this a try: http://www.vistabootpro.org/

um.. ur cpu usage is over 40% ? all of the time!? how much crap do u have running? and whats the usage right after a clean install? all i can say is that my dads pII 350mhz idles at around 5% cpu usage.

well nvidia is hoping that the 8900 will be somewhat of a jump. both the 8900 and r600 will most likely be using ddr4, which will help ALOT in memory banwidth. and the 8900 will either be 65nm or 80nm. im not saying that the 8900 will be better, its just that it will prolly cost alot less than the r600. i really want an 8800gts but they are just too hot and too loud.. so the 8900 should improve on that. as long as there is no lag, im happy.

ya like ive said, just for a mod. afaik pretty much every heatsink is a snap down then.

are there actual screw on heatsinks? ive only seen that done as a mod to either create better contact or for cpu's with the ihs removed.

well you shouldnt have to do anything with xp... so your telling me you installed vista and the boot screen for it didnt come up?
