talking about fps, the xbox 360 can go to a resoltion of 1920x1280? is this a real resolution that its putting out! b/c the lag on that would be crazy.

what file cant it find? if your talking about mkbt then make sure ur running a prompt in its folder

dumb question, but do you have your audio driver installed? also what program are you using? check the preferences to make sure that your sound card has'nt been muted, enable everything for it. now what you really need to do is find the manufacturer's driver for your card, its a high possibility that its a problem with the vista driver. has this card worked in xp or have you not tried?

...look at the bottom right of that page, that kinda sucks, so i guess you'll need to buy the receiver. and by reading the requirements it says that you need Vista or MCE 2005. but im sure that there is a driver that will make it work on xp, ill try to look around.

well how does it plug in? does it need a receiver? i would be p***ed off if i bought it and it came with no way of connecting it to my pc, you might have to yell at the store that sold it to you..

codejunkie- just are you serious? i love amd over intel, 2 out of my 3 comps are amd. the only reason im not getting C2D myself is b/c i would rather have amd. but i cant justify myself to get an amd over intel right now since intel is raping them. thats why when the barcelona/k8 to come out. but if he's made his mind for amd only, then i guess he's getting amd, and am2 will be the way to go.

your lucky, i acidentaly deleted mine in xp... i had to enable it again with the registry, took me a little while to find the right key for that.

im planning on getting some sort of mp3 player this summer, just wondering if there is anything better than the ipod? it would need to be large, at least 80gigs... price cant be too much either, 350$ for the ipod 80gig is good for me. but is there anything that sounds better? longer battery? dont have to use stupid itunes?

im also throwing out the suggestion of a C2D, they are just the best out right now. for 1000$ you can get a nice system that will play games at full settings. so i guess you need to tell us what you have/havnt bought already and what your budget is.

im not saying that its impossible to get involved with games that have crappy graphics. yes i definetly like some older game, but im talking about today's games. and i just find it true that for today's games, if the graphics suck then the gameplay usually sucks. its all about how much time the developers put into it. you say that GTA has crappy graphics? which GTA? san andreas looks pretty darn good to me on full settings. now back to the wii, i agree with you that the controller is nice and that they do need good games, but there are just games that dont belong there, like COD. first person shooters for me just dont belong on consoles, especially the wii. the experience is 100x better with a mouse. and finally too be helpful to you, if you are planning on getting some 8800gtx's, wait about a month or so for the 8900gtx to come out, it will have gddr4.

well its your opinion if you think halo sucks, but i think its an amazing game, and so do miilions more.

so graphics arnt important? then why is the ps3 and xbox 360 advertising grahpics like crazy! what is the point of directx10 with the g80 and r600! b/c it has amazing graphics doesnt mean it has horrible gameplay, take oblivion for example. its the best looking game out there and the best gameplay that i've ever had. when the game makes you feel like your there, you tend to love it even more. im not sure about you, but its tough for me to feel like im in a game with block figures... and for me the wii isnt fun. i just dont like its games, they are too "fake" to me. i could care less about playing baseball with cartoon figures with big heads.

the reason i want it is graphics... xbox graphics just suck, especially on a crappy tv.

1. games slower but not that far off from sp2, the problem is drivers tho. there is no graphics driver, ati or nvidia, that fully supports vista yet. there are lots of glitches and crashes.. 2. no, xp to me is much faster while just browsing around 3. no, you need 2 gigs or ram if you plan on gamming, vista alone takes 700mb!

thats why i dont like ati, horrible drivers imo. just use the older driver.

Nobody said anything about giving away free key's. Offcourse they don't do that. You stop joking now... ? im not trying to argue this.. its just that you were asking MS for a new key when you didnt have your own key. now yes you did buy xp but you cant prove it, and thats all that MS cares about. so to MS you are trying to get a free key.

ya jeremy is right again. even with fan filters on my case, my video card heatsink still gets clogged with dust, so every now and then i take it out of the case and spray it to hell.
