lol, yes i do well 8x at least, but these newew games hate my video card with 8x too. nitroshift-well lets just call you lucky. at least you dont have to worry about lag in that game.

I beg to differ ripken. He will need those drivers even if the hdd is single but setup as s-ata. @bonestonne On the mobo CD you'll find an executable to setup a floppy that you'll need at the F2 stage during the windows install. ive built quite a few comps with sata and have never experienced this problem... but i guess if there is poor mobo support then it can happen.

well my friend has an 8800gts 640mb and i set it up to have oblivion with HDR on and i forced 16xAA and 16xAF thru the nvidia control panel. looks amazing! but i dont think is any way for me to tell if its really on 16xAA or 8xAA... it just looks amazing and thats what really matters.

out of those 2 the 940bw is the best, but both of those have awkward resolutions for a wide screen this is a better samsung model, but its more then those other 2 monitors http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001087

well i didnt say it was complete crap, lol. i said "crappy" , with quotes. to me that just means that it can be called crappy compared to today's best cards. i personally am starting to call my 7800gt "crappy" b/c it cant play games with 16xAA without lag, and i want that feature. but almost all games its fine, its just those few like oblivion...

i have no tips, thats the perfect answer you just plug it in and go, same exact thing as you would for an ide drive. those drivers on the floppy are raid drivers, so unless he's using raid, they are pointless.

A 6800 is by no means a crappy card. I game, edit videos and my 6800GS just rips through anything I throw at it. that is true but in terms of vegas, it sucks. search google and you will find that many people have extremely low framerates with the 6800series.

bf2 has hdr?...

no its not. they completely rebuilt the tcpip.sys afaik. so nlite doesnt detect this and wont even let you set the hald open connections, its just grayed out. and the lvllord patch does not work.

nitro-what resolution you play at? im at 1280x1024. many people have problems with that game... for me it was occasional lag when there were lots of guys around. by loweing the settings a rarely ever noticed lag

lol, nice catch. that would have sucked to have finally received the hard drive, and to have it be ide... then to get the sata versions you would need to waste money shipping it back.

these programs all work great. last year i recovered my dads hdd and i found data from 7 years earlier. its just amazing what we have put on our hdds over the years.

ya this stuff fascinates me too. there are just so many different theories on time travel. personally i would be strongly against time travel b/c of the unknown. for all that we could know, people have already time traveled into the past. but what if he went to far? and then it turned out that he would have never been born due to something that he did. then he never would have invented a time machine. and we would never have known that time travel existed... kinda confusing. but this guy could change the entire world and none of us would have known it. we could all have lived a billion different lives but again, we wouldnt know...

well it only shows dx10 b/c you are using vista. and vista uses dx10. this doesnt mean that ur video card is dx10, it is actually dx9. so when dx10 games like crysis comes out, your card wont be able to take advantage of the dx10 performance/features. now your problem with vegas is simply your "crappy" video card. my 7800gt plays it pretty well but i cant go on all high settings, i had to turn some things down to try to prevent lagging, but it still happened anyways. the only way to play the game lag free would be to have SLI or an 8800gts. so what exactly are the problems that you are having? and what other games are you having problems with?

the really dont, especially since you have side vents. your psu and rear fan will defiently be enough to handle the hot air up there.

what do you mean by numbers? those last 3 digits? you could make a script that would take the id number and count in 3 spaces, then sort it from there...

so the aa just doesnt work at all? and how do you know this, you can just tell that its not as good looking? try turning off aa in the bf options, then force it with the nvidia cp. maybe they are interfearing with eachother.
