definetly. partition magic has given me nothing but problems, acronis has always worked perfectly for me. extremely easy to use interface too.

ya ur right, i left that part out. i was talking more about the bugfixes as you mentioned. major reases are usually 1.0, 2.0,3.0, etc or 1.1,1.2,1.3,etc

tain- do you mean two tables or two databases? im not exactly sure if you would notice the performance increase tho, unless your working with millions of entries. i was just thinking about this, seriously like an hour ago, and i just decided to put it all in 1 database. only reason was b/c of organization. say the server where you were going to have the database already has like 20 databases on it... i use phpmyadmin alot, just for testing right now, hopefully i wont ever have to use it later on besides from having to manually edit/delete something for some reason.

basically whatever you want, it all depends on how many updates to it you plan on doing. you could get out to the thousandths spot if you wanted ex: 1.120,1.130

lol, ya now i have a much understanding of php+mysql. you must have declared that variable earlier on, thats the only difference... my site coming along pretty nicely now, its for track.

im trying to an artist name to the mp3 tag.. but for some songs it just wont let me. if i right click on it and try to edit the artist, it wont even let me select on it... so then i try a tag editor and it shows the new tag, but only in the tag editor. wmp11 doesnt detect this change either.. those songs also seem to not report a bitrate and length... for alot of them media player says that the mp3 is an unsupported format but it will still try to play it, which it fails to do. but vlc plays it just fine, so the mp3 isnt corrupted.

thats why you should have asked us for what lcd to get... im not aware of any test tho. but as long as you see no ghosting in games, does it really matter?

well before reinstalling windows, reinstall wmp11. but im not too sure on those other issues...you probably did have some virus at one time that killed alot of you basic windows functions.

well in the US for me at least, ive taken tests since about 6th. but they arnt called SAT. they were called CAT. in 10th+11th i took the PSAT. and im in 11th now and just took the SAT. for the US the first time you take the SAT is in the 11th grade. there are 3 parts to the SAT now, english, math, and writing. but only english and math really count, for those two the US average is a little above 1000/1600 , which is pretty horrible IMO. my goal is to get a 1400, but that english section might bring me down...

well whats sad is that most people in public schools cant do most of it... my sister doesnt even know how to work with triangles...

the school can block it my school got this new hardware firewall which kills everything... even the proxy sites. even googling for proxy is blocked

in fact, removing IE is my #1 most recommended tip to having a better xp. as there is only 1 downside that i can really see, being updates, but i can do that thru the little icon in my taskbar.

why is it bad to remove it? i have not had 1 bad experience in the 3 years that i have done it... but i must mention that i did not remove IE Core, but i did remove IE. and all i can say is wow. all my problems went away. even if you never use IE one time on a new installation of windows, you would still get pop ups, adware, etc. with IE removed, i have not detected 1 virus yet, in 3 years. and my spyware and adware has been extremely low, less that 50 removed in the last 3 years. so all i can say, is remove it.

that would be so helpful. how about wild cards like when you start typing a word in and before you finish typing it, results are already showing up. like if you want to type "car" and youve only typed in "ca" so for, it would show "cat, car, cap, etc..."

how exactly am i suppose to use the code? i have the drop down menu working with my db, i can get the info i need, but how do i make the name i selected stay there? it doesnt.. edit: this is odd. it wont work in my main script, but it does work in a quick thing that i made that has some of my script in it.. ill have to try to rebuild it and see what i messed up.. and i had a problem with one if your lines if( $row[lastname] == $_POST['lastname']){ echo " SELECTED"; } i had to do that instead, and it works, otherwise the name wont stay when i select it

well its not about how much its been used. my 5 yr old laptop gets really hot, even idling. so its your call, depending on how hot yours gets...

okay i have everything pretty much working now, but heres one that im really stuck on. i posted this somewhere else ---- i know how to make a drop down menu, but after i select something and click go, it uses php and loads up some data from a mysql db. it just refreshed the same page. but what i want it to do is to is make whatever i last picked in the drop down menu be what the SELECTED option is when the page is refreshed. ex: options are bob,joe,jim since bob is 1st it automatically defaults to bob. but say i select jim and click go, i want jim to be what the defualt choice is.
