if you are in the US and dont order from newegg, then you should seriously see a doctor newegg tends to suck when it comes to cooling, such as fans, water cooling, fan controllers, fan wires, etc. so i do have to use some other stores.

thats defietly alot more work than needed. you say you have trouble finding them? i have my shortcuts organized, like my games are in the top right corner, website crap in the top mid, etc. ive got so much crap and this is an easy way to keep track of it.

does it really need to be upgradable if there is an Extreme in it? lol but its nice to see easy to upgrade laptops now. btw, you have been able to upgrade laptops for a long time now... i was considering doing it with my laptop until i got my new comp.

sata is better than ide for hdds. for disk drives it really depends on the drive, some are not mature yet and the bios may not detect them, so you cant boot off of it. so i guess do some research before you buy one.

first of all, why amd? go for an intel e6600. for video card, you dont need a gtx unless your running at a crazy resolution, so just get an 8800gts. for psu, ive been liking the corasir ones lately. where are you ordering these parts from? website?

you are pretty much correct. the only point for spending another 100-200$ for higher speed ram is for overclocking. just makes it way easier. no point in getting it for normal use.

i didnt read the article but how does sataII not mean 3Gb/s? isnt one of the technologies of sataII is that is had a theoretical max transfer speed of 3Gb/s ?

well the only benefit is the burst speeds. i cant beleive there suppose to be coming out with sata3 sometime this year, no point IMO.

that heatsink is a beast! ive installed it on 4 comps, including mine have any of you cut your hand up trying to install it? i have all 4 times... especially on mine b/c its the original one with the insane mounting system where you need to use 10000pds of force to get it on.

DSL doesnt help much, at least where i live, its increadibly slow. always try to join servers with the green light(if there is one, i play bf2142 so there are lights for the ping)

i play BF2142 with a logitech mx518 and its an amazing mouse, but not the best. my friend has BF2142 and a logitech g5 and its just a whole lot better. there is a new version of the g5 coming out which i will definetly be getting.

not much of a performance increase but there are new features in it. go to newegg.com and look at the seagate 3.0gb/s 250gig or 320gig hdds with perpendicular recording.
