ya, memeory is definetly not the same. try to overclock your value memory to over 300mhz, its just not gunna happen. and what is "the attention paid to it after initial fabrication" ?

teqguy, again i would like you to explain yourself. how is he suppose to fix the ambient temperature? i think that it is God's problem, the only thing that he can really do is to get a good heatsink with a good fan. also why did you say that the ambient temp is the problem and then for him to get fans?

i dont understand. the reason to get high performance ram is for overclocking it like crazy. bh-5 likes 3.2v and that stuff gets HOT. ram cooling is extremely important if you pump up the volts on it. i dont need it since im on stock voltage yet still overclocked to 260mhz for my ram. people even watercool their ram.

firmware is prolly not the reason since the one that comes with it usually works just fine but the signal drop outs is a big problem. my dsl was strange. i had 3mb/s and it would disconnect for no reason at all. a dsl guy came over and found out that i am not getting a good signal b/c i am too far away from their base?... so they bumped us down to 1.5 mb/s and now im fine? my friend who lives less than a mile away has the same dsl 3.0mb/s with no dropouts and he is farther away from the base then i am...

well jcarle told you a bunch of stuff on raid that should have helped i doubt that you have enough money for two large hdds in raid and it seems like you want 2x80 in raid0, that will give you 160gigs total if so then i would go with these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822145082 they support sataII so that if you get a new mobo that supports sataII then you'll be all set

im running 2.6 with mines, i think that i can do 2.7 with mine with just under 1.6v . i tried it with prime and i stopped after about an hour b/c the temps were starting to get high, if i had watercooling then im sure that i'de be able to do it. try 265x10 and see if that works

gdogg, i think ur confusing them, ill put it a little simpler if you run prime on core0 then task manager will report 50% cpu usage if you run prime on core0 and core1 then task manager will report 100% cpu usage and acording to my test windows does use both cores, if i open a bunch of different folder i will notice that both cores in the task manager will go up in cpu usage

you should definetly try to overclock more, you should be able to get 2.7 or over with that much voltage. and why the divider with that ram? i have the next level below you as far as mushkin ram goes and mines is running at 260 just fine
