  1. i think they are all perp now if i am not mistaken. i know that all of the seagates are now at least.
  2. I go the same.. This isn't 8th grade science though, it is random questions from about 3 years of science and a physics problem. I am pretty disappointed in myself as well but I havn't studied this stuff in years and I even skipped earth science so I don't even know some of this stuff.
  3. if it truly is a firmware problem then new firmware would probably be the only possible fix, otherwise i have no idea, good luck.
  4. you just plug it in. you can only connect one device to one cable so there is no need for master/slave, that is a thing of the past. you can set up your primary/secondary boot devices right in the bios so it doesn't matter which slot you choose.
  5. the Q6600 has been ~$180 at newegg for a while now. i payed a little over $300 for the g0 when it first came out, i would have to say that the prices have dropped alot.
  6. im waiting for i7 rev2 and for prices to drop, mobos are just insane right now. but that still is a nice deal for that cpu.
  7. so it does work then, i had an issue about a year ago where the motherboard wasnt keeping the correct speed and the problem was that the motherboard was half dead. i am not sure what to say to you about this, if the motherboard cant keep the correct settings then there is most likely something wrong with the motherboard. if you are able to RMA and feel like RMAing then you can try that router if you want as a last resort.
  8. well stop flashing your bios, keep it at the latest version. reset the cmos. if that doesnt work then start pulling things out that you dont need. what exactly is the problem though, aside from it reporting the wrong speed? is it not booting into windows? is it able to boot off of a cd at all? and a tcpip.sys BSOD? having a fun time downloading huh
  9. have you checked for dust in your case? especially in the heatsink of the graphics card?
  10. google is your friend. search for "checkbox validation"
  11. Vista 64 is a must by my standards. when i bought my laptop about a year ago, i didnt even boot into the OS, i immediately installed Vista 64 on it without a hesitation. i purposely ordered the laptop with vista home instead of the premium that the normal model comes with, just to save some money.
  12. there are a few ones, the easiest one is to use javascript. then for whatever thing the click to go to the next page, have do onclick="check()" your check() function will need to get the value of that checkbox and make the necessary checks. then if the value="checked" ? i think it's checked, it might be "on", then go ahead and submit the forum, otherwise you can do something like make an alert with an error in it.
  13. bring it back to tiger, tell them to put in a crappy dual core and normal speed ram and hopefully it boots up so that u can flash it. the bios update was the first thing that i was going to say. as for your ps question, it happens to me everytime that i turn the power supply power from off to on and then try to start up. this should not happend at every boot though.
  14. you don't have vista, you have HP Vista, which is complete crap.
  15. let me go over to one of my friend's rooms, he has about 10 systems in there, lol.
  16. i doubt that your card even needs more than 8x, how do you know that it does? do some 3dmark tests maybe.
  17. you are still talking about a KVM, lol. i only have 2 towers, 1 desktop, 1 server. i have 2x24" lcds. my desktop is using both monitors via dvi and the server is using both via vga. i just switch the monitor mode and i am good to go. i have 2 mouses and 2 keyboards. remote desktoping / VNCing was just too much of a pain and it was laggy even on my gigabit network, so i am just doing it the normal way. plus i get to see all of the cool effects in Ubuntu now
  18. i'm averaging like 20-25gps with a 4870 1GB and Q6700... there is definitely something wrong here. crysis runs better than this game, now that's saying something.
  19. yep, their low-profile card that people have been wanting for a while now. and it's PCI-E finally. it looks like it will be great for HTPC and for digital only connections, i wonder how the analog will be on it tho.. i am waiting for reviews to come out on it.
