  1. the pci slot powers the card, which you will need. you may just want to wait b/c im pretty sure that gigabyte will be making their current ramdisk external and hooks up by usb.
  2. do not get a winchester, get a venice. a 3000 venice is very cheap now. as for mobo, maybe a cheap msi or asus?
  3. just use mac address filtering
  4. ya, floppy has its own cable and own port, they arnt ide, at least not for a while
  5. i used to use aim ad hack before i found trillian, now life is good
  6. aegis, i totgally agree with you. there was also a rumor a while ago about amd buying nvidia, but nvidia is just too big and too expensive. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=2228494 abc news confims this too. well i guess that amd is buying ati... im just not sure if this is smart. i love the nvidia chipsets, i rly hope nvidia will still make them for amd. i also wonder if amd will work on something that will help amd cpu's and ati gpu's talk to eachother faster/better.
  7. b/c jbod offeres no performance and no redundancy
  8. the silenx fans dont create much airflow, thus they are quiet. i would recommend getting some panaflos which create lots of airflow but are also pretty queit, especially on a fan controller.
  9. well thats great, you dont even tell us what type of cooling that you wanted to get. and i just told you to get a cooling pad with fans in it.
  10. according to that review there is only ~ a 10 watt difference.

  13. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811999127 i got a few of these for a friend, they seem to be pretty good but nowhere as good as a panaflo
  14. well you can have an 80gig and 160gig in an array but it may not always work. i have no clue why its took the total space tho... but i would recommend getting another 80gig hdd for less that 50$ and raiding the 2 80gig hdds.
  15. get sataII and get a 7600gt/7300gt. dont get a gs. how about an asus mobo? and what psu do u plan on getting?
  16. my friend has sattelite and i think that the 1st(main) receiver does have to be on for the 2nd to work, as the signal comes out of that 1st recevier and goes to the 2nd.
  17. the e1505 runs very cool for me, very cool. the fan barely goes on. unless you're gaming a long time with it? i would suggest getting a laptop cooling pad with fans in it.
  18. ide say go with nvidia, but that just b/c i like nvidia. ati just runs too hot, especially for laptops. i got my grandma an e1505 and wow is that thing fast. http://www.notebookreview.com/dellCoupon.asp amazing dell coupons, i saved a few hundred dollars.
  19. the 360 sucks compared to a computer. the graphics especially suck.
  20. ive heard this a while back too. also a rumor before that about intel buying them. im not sure if this is a smart move or not, as digeratiprime says.
  21. nod32 for antivirus
  22. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....=&maxPrice= any of these processors, mainboard doesnt matter, just as long as its the right socket
