lol this is pretty funny. i was working on this rly old comp yesterday with win95 on it and i was checking out the sweet screensavers that i havnt seen in a long time. so today i pull out my win98 cd and copy all of its screensavers to vista. now im not sure if this is vista or my fast comp, but all of these screensavers are in super fast mode, even if the speed is set at 1... lol. its pretty funny tho.

well back to media player, it crashed again. but this time i'm 100% sure that its my audio driver thats causing the problem...

well if its resediting the exe file like i said... but thats prolly all we can get into it.

do you mean an svideo to rca adapter? thats what i do to connect to my tv. have you restarted your computer? i need to do that to make my vid card recognize the tv.

well i finally got it to work! this will save me lots of time in the future. too bad the vista drivers suck... the game crashed after 1min of playtime b/c an nvidia dll died on me.

what version are you using? 5536/pre-rc1 was doing the the same exact thing to me. it was so annoying.

well if any of you have all of the expansion packs of the sims 2 then you know how much of a pita it is to install them all. what i want to try to figure out how to do is to just copy my reg entries for the game and the installation files and to magically get the game to run without reinstalling it. now does anyone know how to do this? i've already copied the reg entries into another installation of xp, i made sure the paths were right, but when i go to run family fun stuff, it says that the sims 2 isnt installed... if i try to install the latest expansion, again it says it isnt installed. so there must be some info somewhere else besides the registry, otherwise why can't i get this to work?
