We have found another patch which contains the same fix and a few more that doesn't cause this problem.. Was just wondering if anyone else had seen something like this.. EDIT: Now another update has done the same thing.. This time it's KB88779.. We're guessing it's the computer and not the update itself.. Oh well..

None Neverwinter nights: Hordes of the Underdark (pc) or Fable (Xbox)? (best game of these two)

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem: On one of the computers where I work, add/remove programs stopped working when the win update KB889293 was installed.. We can doubleclick, rightclick and choose Open or click the icon and press Enter without anything happening.. Do any of you have experience with this? Btw, this has happend on two computers running win 2000 pro, but never on XP..

Does anybody know if this is used in Norway as well? It doesn't sound like a positive thing to consume..

I've had the same problem once.. I solved it by uninstalling the program that caused it.. But I don't remember how I figured out what program caused it.. Good luck, anyway...

None of u have tried the WUS beta? We're having some problems with that one... We can't add the computers we want WUS to update..

About "shutdown -a".. Does that command only work with XP? Is there a similar command you can use on win2k? We've had some major sasser/blaster issues on the net at work, so would have been good too know.. We haven't heard of any commands that works on win2k.. (Stupid question, but I'll ask anyway )

I've had the opposite problem.. My msn changed my status from away to online.. I don't really care, though, but it would have been interesting to know why msn changes the status. (I have also turned of the automatical thing under options..)
