And if I don't want to use the whole atlas file but only the stripes image?
-
Same problem. When using TeamViewer the desktop goes crazy.
-
That's because Vista had a stronger reflection image, you can open the DWMGlass.dll and replace the png image with the one from Vista attached. Awesome, thank you! --edit-- Still looks different than vista/windows7 stripes, the distance between them, dunno...
-
This is how the stripes should look, In DWMGlass are slightly larger.
-
--edit-- My mistake, the stripes are visible but less than they are on frames or on taskbar. They are almost invisible. --edit-- See the pics in the attached archive. ClassicShell_Stripes.rar

Thanks everyone. The skin format is described in detail here: http://www.classicshell.net/tutorials/skintutorial.html By 'shadow image' do you mean the mask bitmap? When you open the skin in Resource Hacker, you can expand the bitmap section to see all bitmaps and the Skin section describes which bitmap is used for what. If you are using Classic Shell along with Aero Glass for Windows 8, just enable the setting "Enable Aero Glass" from the "Menu Look" tab and make sure you are using the 'Windows Aero' skin. You can post additional skin related questions in the Classic Shell forum where other users will also help you with editing the skin. Yes, 'Enable Aero Glass' checkbox is ticked but 'Windows Aero' skin is not completely transparent, only the margins, can't use 'Smoked Glass' skin with aero glass mod ? The blur from DWMGlass is applied but not the reflection effect. And about 'shadow', I'm talking about the shadow behind the start menu.
-
Great program! I modified a skin but I can't find the shadow image, where can I find it? Btw, I'm using this with Aero Glass for WIndows 8.1 Beta 1 and the reflection effect is not applied on classic shell.

Do you have Win8 RTM or preview ? it seems that glass safety zone failed to create, could you share your debug.log ? Windows 8.1 RTM Deleted the log file then enabled BlurDeviation in this order BlurDeviation 0 - works fine BlurDeviation 10 - Image BlurDeviation 15 - less visual errors BlurDeviation 20 - same as 10 BlurDeviation 25 - works fine BlurDeviation 30 - same as 15 Without BlurDeviation entry - works fine debug_tusticles_8.1BETA1.rar

@paul70 Yes, symbols are automatically downloaded.

Created BlurDeviation dword, it works with 0(removes glitches completely) and 30(this will show different glitches), and any other value will cause a bug, when you drag and move the window from right to left and from bottom to top. This can be fixed by removing the BlurDeviation entry from registry or if I set it to 0 or 30 but 30 will create different glitches. I took the picture with a phone because Print Screen won't catch the bug. Image Keep up the good work!

Is that on Windows 8? If so, how did you get the transparent address bar, etc? Windows Vista...
-
Do you read your private messages? I bet you read them but you don't want to reply. Near as I can tell, you didn't describe a problem. With this beta software everyone sees a DWM window with things like what you've shown in it. -Noel

We can't hide the console window even if we donated?

Silent Aero Glass Reloaded [Works with RC4]
Tusticles replied to francesco149's topic in Aero Glass For Windows 8+
Impossible, you are talking about Alpha 2 or AeroGlass 1.2? The console window is always opened with Alpha 2. -

How can I start the batch window minimized. I'm using Aero Glass for windows 8.1 Alpha 2. None of programs are working to minimize/hide the window. The popup is not a problem because I donated. -
"Thank you" for your answer... it doesn't matter, I solved the jumplist problem, microsoft updated the msstyle in 8.1, they removed all start menu resources + properties, I updated my custom theme using the new msstyle. The start menu is perfect, but I miss the slide animation from SIB, in SIB+ even if you disable the translucency the white shadow is still visible, in SIB this can be fixed with AeroGlass or by disabling tanslucency.

Wow, you fixed the problem that I posted four days ago (here), now I can use the other styles, no more buggy jumplists. Any idea why that bug in my custom theme is fixed only if SIB+ is installed? When you search something in the start menu why there is always a line under the text, it shouldn't be visible only on mouse hover?

The bug is caused by windows 8.1, even if you don't have SIB+ installed you will have the same bug, to fix this SIB+ must be installed with "Default startmenu style" selected and Windows explorer restarted.

Anyone tried to change the start menu style when using a custom theme? Only "Default start menu style" works for me. With any other start menu styles:

Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center 6.3 build 9600 Sorry to hear that, what build are you using?
-
Blue screen, system restore recommended.

It would have to be Windows 7, the explorer windows don't look like that in Windows 8, the part behind the address bar and navigation buttons can not be aero glass and also there is no up arrow next to the nav buttons. I thought so...
