  1. Could you please tell me if the animations will be 'fixed' or something, using transparency will make the animations look strange, I have to disable transparency to make them soft, like win7. I have no idea if that is a bug or they are supposed to work like that? Thank you.
  2. Can't disable blur, I have 'BlurDeviation' set to 0 only in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM" but blur is still active. Any help?
  3. That can be fixed by disabling start menu translucency (or animations). This will be fixed in a future version?
  4. In 0.4 or in that private build? In all versions dude, all versions have lag, I don't care if you fix it or not, but just give me an explanation. I told you, to fix the lag I have to make the GPU gaming profile fixed, but who want 50+C GPU temp in idle/desktop mode... This tells me that your pretty app is hunger for GPU resources, I understand, debug version, alpha, etc. but I still want some answers. Thank you. Sounds more like your drivers aren't properly adjusting power states for the workload. Even if his implementation required 10x the resources and workload of MS's it should not produce a noticeable effect with a GTX 670 - it should be more than powerful enough to run dozens of fullscreen sheets of solid glass on top of each other without a hiccup. The problem is very likely on your end (drivers or profiles you made) since very few others seem to have the issue on what I would imagine to be less powerful hardware, unless everyone in this thread has a GTX680. I had no problem running his glass implementation from 0.3 on my 6950 and it showed almost no GPU utilization and near idle temperatures. And your GTX 670 should be faster than my 6950. I have the latest drivers, clean installation, no GPU custom profiles as I already said, the lag occur only with the low profiles, idle/dekstop... Forcing a higher profile will fix the problem but I don't like the idea of running a high profile in idle/desktop... I have no idea why I want so much the Aero but after a few weeks of using Win8 I couldn't find anything special so I'm thinking about going back to Win7, idk.
  5. Poor performance? I have an ASUS G75VW, i7 3610QM, GTX 670M, 12GB RAM...

  7. Use those files with 0.4 and that registry entry.
  8. Read the posts dude
  9. It works. But please give me some answers about the lag, win 7 aero runs fine with GPU desktop clock profile... After closing the loader the windows are still laggy
  10. Same, no errors and no aero, why the f**k is lag if no aero is enabled?
  11. No Aero applied with 0.4 and the lag is still there. debug.rar
  12. Then we don't update it
  13. Is it possible?
  14. I hope you will make the next version to work with lower GPU clocks. Btw, why Startisback is supported and Start8 not?
  15. sorry but there is no solution for your problem yet I feel better now, thank you for your response. I'm not the only one with this problem, Rayn19 have it.
  16. I have to increase the gpu idle clock to fix the lag, but running a high clock profile in idle with 40+ temperature.. it suc*s. Give me a reason to follow this thread, you will fix this? I posted three times and you ignored me.
  17. bigmuscle, I found the problem, my gpu have clock profiles, in desktop the low clock profile is running and the windows are laggy. I have lag only with P12 and P8 profiles. --edit-- Fixed the issue by forcing a fixed clock, I chose P1 but these clocks in idle... idk.
  18. When launched the loader everything was fine but after a few seconds the windows started to lag
  19. The GPU Load is huge with aero enabled, but not always. Should I read the whole thread, if there is an explanation why is eating so much video resources? The gpu have clock profiles, when aero is enabled the highest clock profile is activated, ****, that profile is used when playing games... Hmm, the lag occur when I have more than one window opened, with just one window everything is fine.
  20. I can't speak with certainty, but I would imagine you'd see the big drop since the windows are all switched to layered windows with 254/255 alpha, which means on top of all of your rendering, you need to do a fullscreen alpha blend composition of the desktop, which can be expensive, especially if the GPU is already taxed. Can you check to see if you get a similar framerate drop with using WinAeroGlass? If not, it could also be related to the memory leak someone posted earlier. With WinAeroGlass only the Chrome browser is a bit laggy.
  21. Hi guys, just registered to this forum for this new great project. It looks beautiful but the windows are laggy and the fps drop in games. Just updated to latest nvidia beta driver and I have the same issue. Any ideas? Thank you. Asus G75VW CPU: Intel i7-3610QM RAM: 12 GB DDR3 GPU: Nvidia GTX 670M OS: Windows 8 Pro with Media Center X64
