Modified resources from windows 7 msstyle.

I have a lot of crashes, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" and freezes with aero glass enabled (RC3). I will re-install the video driver.... Can you check the debug files?

Is their definition of "aero glass" simply transparency, or does the screenshot simply not show the blur? The transparency without blur is lame. Certainly better than the default theme, but meh... Why waste time with it. From all posts I found (e.g. WB developer saying that themes transparency must be adjusted to look good without blur), it seems that it supports pure transparency only. But if anyone wants to have solution without messagebox he can switch to it ... for $50. Btw, is there any moderator whom I could ask to start deleting all posts relating to the popup message? I won't pay $50 for that, your Aero Glass will work with the future versions of Windows 8?

Restart windows explorer... Yeah. Restarted the whole computer, still completely transparent. Your solution isnt one. Perhaps you didn't read what I said. If I disable/enable glass, the taskbar will have blur for a while. After some time though, it will become completely transparent without me restarting Explorer or anything. It is transparent right now, if I turn off glass and turn it back on via AGTweaker, it will have blur again. That is a workaround, not a solution. That is the point to the entire post. for being sarcastic and being wrong, amirite? Are you using SIB, Start8 or other software to re-enable the start menu?

I'll give up, f*ck this OS, it sucks, no aero, "facebook design". I get a black screen when booting in safemode.

Can someone tell me why I can't modify the system files in Windows 8 64bit? Tried Restorator and resource hacker, , replaced the img resources in DLL, backed up the original files (shell32.dll and explorerframe.dll) and replaced with the modified files, then restarted pc and guess what, the files were corrupted... restored backup, alright... Then I tried to modify the windows 8 system files in windows7( I have dual boot ), it worked, the files were not corrupted, replaced the files in windows 8 system32 dir then restarted. The files were successfully loaded but no resources changed, opened the dll in restorator and the modified image returned to default, then I opened the DLL in windows 7 and the image was different, I don't understand, Any help? Thank you.

I just installed fences by stardock and the program settings are integrated in Control Panel, I hope you will do the same.

Can't change the inactive color, after the dwm process is restarted the color is updated but if you move the windows, the inactive color returns to default color.

You did it buddy, I have no idea about programming, especially c#, I played a bit in visual basic and created some apps, launchers for games and other stuff... I modified your project by searching code examples for what I needed , it wasn't a copy - paste work, neither something special...

As I said, I changed it for personal use, I'm not a programmer, just changed and added a few lines... and yeah, the option to change window colors is useless... I will remove it. It's not hard to make a font changer but I already found one...

Modified the source code for personal use, replaced 'Narrow window frames' with 'Border Padding Size', added 'Restart Windows Explorer', useful if Aero Glass is not applied on Start Menu and Taskbar when using StartIsBack. Updated the GUI to support DWMGlass v0.92 RC1. Ahh, and the colors menu is separated from the 'Apply' button, I did it because the color intensity is changed when settings are applied in AGTweaker and you always have to play with the slider of Color intensity in Windows Personalize menu to fix it, just move the slider a bit and color intensity is back to normal, without applying the changes, strange. And DWMGlass will be installed in %SystemDrive%\DWM and not in Windows directory. Removed some settings: Direct2D Settings (Latest DWMGlass runs in Direct3D) Native blur rendering (No such setting in the latest version of DWMGlass) Opacity (GlassTransparency registry setting has been removed in the latest version of DWMGlass, now opacity is controlled by Color intensity in Personalize menu of Windows)

We are not using the same DWMGlass, I suppose you have RC0, I have the version released after RC0 (RC0 crashfix) with 'callBlurShapes' value in registry... My GPU is NVIDIA GTX 670M and drivers 314.22
