Installed the Lite version and the boot screen works. Look if in the windows directory there is a file called boot.bmp and are there the attributes /noguiboot /bootlogo in your boot.ini behind your the boot entry. BTW: Everything works fine for me. Don't wanna miss it. Now, both version are supported by nLite? And what 128 icons are missing in the lite version? Don't know them

Just as an info: There is another quite cool royale theme out there. You know the Longhorn Visual Styles Pack? It includes a theme called Royale glass or someting like that. I think it looks really nice. Have a look at it.

@muiz: The switches name is "/install", so what do you think does it do?? Your are right, it installs the given components (SFQDRA).

New language file
Dynaletik replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Ok, I got a question regarding the translation file for the current WPI 4.3. I think, that there are a lot of unused variables in the lang.js: msgStartInstall[lang], lblHelp[lang], ttHelp[lang], ttSelectAll[lang], ttSelectNone[lang] and ttSelectDefaults[lang] If you don't change the code regarding the Selections, they can all be deleted, or not? I tried that, but it seems as if they are still in the WPI code, it gives me an error msg. So do you want to delete them or keep them?? I will release the new german translation, after this decision has been made. The only new entry is: lblselect[lang] = ['Programmauswahl']; -
Sry, not for me! If you disable the start screen (it is cool, but useless), Winamp 5.1 starts as fast as Version 5.094. On my machine.

Nero Custom Applications Builder (NCAB)
Dynaletik replied to vcBlackBox's topic in Application Installs
Hey vcBlackBox, I just tried using your NCAB. But I got a BIG problem: Everything works fine, but it deletes the german translation file, so I only have got an english nero. could there be an option to select wether you want to remove translation or not? Or is there a way to integrate the translation again? -
YES. I know what you did wrong. I made exactly the same mistake. Your .reg file is wrong. It should be: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "UIHost"="%systemroot%\\system32\\XPize_Logon.exe" Important are the double slashes. If you do not use them, Windows will not accept the new setting. BTW, it is better to use %systemroot% and not C:\Windows, because if you install Windows onto another partition, the logon screen won't work. (Now don't tell me that you always install Windows to C:\Windows. I do the same)

It should work I think. With the actual german update pack it works. Just try in VMWare.

I bought a new Flat Screen Monitor a few days ago...It is the BenQ FP91V. I install my drivers from CD (pyron's method) and for my old 19" CRT monitor that was okay...the driver (just 3 files I tihnk) was detected and used by Windows XP Pro. But the driver of my new flatscreen is not used...It says "Plug & Play Monitor" after installation and I have to install the driver manually. Does anyone know, how I can get the driver working unattendedly? BTW, I now use the DVI Interface of my GeForce 6600GT SLI cards, no longer the old VGA Interface. Could it be, that the driver isn't detected because I use DVI Interface? Pls help.

I also have got a question regarding the login screen: Your login is in english language (welcome), but I want german language there. How can I modify the texts? I could even give you the german translations for the login screen, so you can change it and send it to me. I can't modify the translation of your .exe file.

Happy Birthday!!! Your work is great! Keep on coding.

I integrated XPize with nLite today and tested the modifications. Everything works perfectly for me. German Win XP Pro. Never had a problem with WMP 10 and XPize.

Wants and needs for WPI
Dynaletik replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Ok. You're right. So another wish here: Is it possible to integrate the Wizards into tranlation? (Options, Config, Audio Player) I once asked hasi001 for this, but he didn't know how to do it. Perhaps someone here has an idea? -
Wants and needs for WPI

And this is why I wanna do it, I don't have much time, sorry. But if I would know how to start the integration, I would do it this weekend. -
Wants and needs for WPI
Dynaletik replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
I already got the info that someone is planning an integration of the Manual into WPI, but a multilingual manual would be really awesome, or not? I am working whole day for the next 6 weeks and because of this, I only got the weekends to work on my UA-DVD at the moment. But if anybody has got an idea how it could work, I would do the german translation at such a weekend. -
I changed it when I had the new version for 4 mins. Only wanted to mention this. (I am not that stupid. , I know WPI a little bit) But thx Lost Soul.
-
Yeah, thats it!!! No Help Button, new position of the Manual button. Now you just have to change the version in your WPI.htm to 4.2....the download has still 4.1 in there.
-
Thank you Lost Soul. It works. Perhaps kelsenellenelvian can add the autostart command to the next release. Now I just wait for kelsenellenelvian to decide wether the Help-Button is saved or kicked off. All WPI-Users please comment on this. Do you want the Help-Button or not?

New language file
Dynaletik replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Ok, I fully updated the german translation to version 4.0 now. See attached file. It now includes the Audio Player description in the Help Dialog. I also forgot an Fullstop in the last release. Sorry for that. Here's the fixed new Version. EDIT: Attachment removed, because it is already integrated in WPI 4.2. Looking forward. -
Ok, I downloaded the new version and I must say it is AWESOME!!! There are only a few things, I would like to ask: 1. Is it possible, that WPI automatically starts the Musik in the WPI part of Media player (not the installing programs part, cause this does)? I have to click on the play button on every callup. 2. What about the HELP-BUTTON? Is it needed any longer? Because all the description that the Help button gives are already given by the tooltips of the other buttons, or not? Perhaps we can make a poll who wants/doesn't want to kick it off. If you don't want to kick off the Help-Button, in the language file section you will find the updated german language, where the Help Button includes the Description of Audio Player.

Instead of Shortcut=P try Shortcut=D For my Audiograbber, I got this lines: Path=C:\Programme\Audiograbber SavePath Silent=1 Overwrite=1 Shortcut=D, "C:\Programme\Audiograbber\audiograbber.exe", "", "", "Audiograbber"

Yeah, very nice pictures out there. Here are my graphics: EDIT: Removed link, check third page, there is the collection of kelsenellenelvian.

New language file
Dynaletik replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
I translated the new strings into GERMAN. See attached file. Why do all the other languages have credits? I want a german one, too. German translation was done by hasi and me. EDIT: ATTACHMENT REMOVED. See my next post.
