  1. The new release just works fine for me. Thanks Alanoll!
  2. Wow, this is fast. All your driverpacks work fine for me.
  3. Time for a new Catalyst. The new Catalyst 5.11 is out.
  4. This is why in the guide in the first post keytotime says, that you should run the installer and copy the nero7.tmp folder out of %temp% and run an admin install with this as base. In the nero7.tmp folder, there are the additional cab files.
  5. The driver does not work for me. It says "Das Gerät kann nicht gestartet werden. (Code 10)". It seems as if the driver must contain the CTZAPXX.Exe to install sucessfully.
  6. Sry m8. Did you use the switch /S? XPizev4_MCE.exe /S /mode=i386 /source=C:\XPCD\I386 should just work fine.
  7. Please read the info @ the XPize Homepage .
  8. This is what I use for registering Nero: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info] "Serial7"="*xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" "User"="USER" "Company"="COMPANY"
  9. I'm using this driver from the Creative Website. It works, but it is still 55 MB. That is the only problem. To configure my X-Fi, I made an WinRAR SFX Archive that contains the Audio Console. I don't need more.
  10. Yesm the BlockInput can be removed. I am not an AutoIT professional. I just wrote the german script to get Nero installed with the components I wanted, but now I use keytotimes method, because with it you can also shrink the install. Please check the installerbuttons with Au3Info like MHz said. I can't see a problem at the install step.
  11. Download the Trial or Demo Version and when you integrate the your key into registry before installation starts, it will be upgraded to Nero 7 Ultra.
  12. @ gelome and @ DigitalDecay: I had the same problem with the missing .cab files. And this is how I solved it: I think you unpacked the downloaded installer and then tried to do an admin install, right? Now, after extracting, run the SetupX.exe 1 or 2 times and click on "Cancel", when the first step of installer is ready to go. Then you should see a new folder "Tmp" in your cab folder. There are also some new .cab files in the cab directory. Now try running an admin install again. Did this solve your problem?
  13. Please check this post. There is a link to an shrunken X-Fi driver. But it does not work for me, because my system needs to run CTZAPXX.exe. But perhaps the driver helps you.
  14. I think the posted mst files work best with english nero installation. Because for every other language, the translation files should also get copied (I need them), so I created my own mst for german install.
  15. I had the same problem with the missing .cab file. German version here. And this is how I solved it: I think you unpacked the downloaded installer and then tried to do an admin install, right? Now, after extracting, run the SetupX.exe 1 or 2 times and click on "Cancel" (don't know how the button is named for you) Then you should see a new folder "Tmp" in your cab folder. There are also some new .cab files in the cab directory. Now try running an admin install again. Pls post if this works. The shrinkage is cool. -> 18 MB WinRAR sfx.
  16. Ok, I finally got some time and tried the method. It works very good. Now I'm just wondering about the Start Menu shortcuts. I now use a WinRAR SFX Archive and create the shortcuts with WinRAR. But the method is great. I can integrate registry tweaks, the key and can disable NeroScout quite easily. Thanks. This method is now better than mine before. I deleted the full Nero Home Components folder. My install does not need it.
  17. To disable Nero Scout, this is the post command method ... this remove the icon from "My Computer" ... edit: change the path of Common Files ... Why don't you use regsvr32 /u "%commonprogramfiles%\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll"? Then it is language independent. (and less code) BTW, I now use InstallRite to install Nero 7. My installer only installs Nero Burning Rom, CoverDesigner, CD-DVD Speed and DriveSpeed. It does not register NeroScout in the registry and does not create Autorun entries. And it is able to integrate tweaks, like "ShowSingleRecorderSpeed". Works just fine. Only problem is, that for every new Nero version, I will have to rebuild the installer.
  18. Yes, it's great. But I want to install CoverDesigner, too. How can I create an .mst file for that?
  19. Pls check the version of yourSetupX.exe. Has it got version 1.0.0.2? Because 1.0.0.2 is from beta status. 1.0.0.3 is the final version. But also with this version on my PC the startmenu shortcut for CoverDesigner is not created correctly.
  20. This is, what Alanoll said! I could have told you this 2 days ago. Just be patient. When he has got time. He will do the update, I think.
  21. If you use /s, you have to create an .iss file before. If you use the /K switch, it will install even without .iss file. About the control panel. I install the Control Panel with WPI. The entry in the WPI config.js checks, if an ATI card is installed, by looking for the atiddc.dll. When it exists, the Control Panel gets installed, because it is a default entry in WPI. When the file does not exist (on nVidia systems), the Control Panel entry does not show up and does not install. Works fine. This is the code in config.js: prog[pn]=['Ati Catalyst Control Panel'] picf[pn]=['ATI.png'] picw[pn]=['128'] pich[pn]=['128'] desc[pn]=['Control Panel für Ati Radeon Grafikkarten.'] textl[pn]=['Bottom'] cmd1[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Install\\Treiber\\Catalyst\\Setup.exe /K'] cond[pn]=['FileExists("%systemdrive%\\Windows\\System32\\atiddc.dll")'] dflt[pn]=['yes'] cat[pn]=['Treiber'] pn++
  22. Ok, my installed Nero apps take about 70MB on my HD. I can imagine, that we can shrink many of the cab files. but I don't know which ones and if the installer checks for all cabs.
  23. I wrote it in the guide. It is regsvr32 /u /s "%CommonProgramFiles%\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll" as C.RAZY said, and it works! It deletes the Nero Scout icon. I just wrote that it is installed, because you can't exclude it. But after setup, I run a batchfile which deletes it.
  24. When i try to run SetupX.exe with the /qn switch, the whole Nero suite gets installed silently. So it ignores the conf.txt. So, if you want to install the whole suite, you can use /qn switch. But it could happen, that the computer reboots after setup then.
  25. YES! 100 %. Installed it about 15 times now using the method. And installed it on 3 different computers. With the posted part of conf.txt, only Nero Burning Rom, CoverDesigner, CD-DVD Speed and DriveSpeed got installed. (And for sure NeroScout, as you can't EXCLUDE it.) There is no directory, no regkey and no shortcut of any other Nero application on my system, so I think it works. But installing Nero silent by using /qn switch did not work well for me: If I edit conf.txt, the whole Nero Suite gets installed on silent way. And it also seems, as if the conf.txt does not work that good it should, because at the end of the file, you should be able to set the key and the installdir and this does NOT work for me. But the INCLUDE/EXCLUDE part works for me in combination with the AutoIT script.
