Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 is a great program for designing my websites. You can see that my website (in sig) is designed in Dreamweaver 4 and its easy to use. I also use Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop for the graphics.

I didn't get as many updates as you lot did. Running Eval + Corpfiles here. 2 critical Updates (put together into a "25th Oct Update Pack") 8 updates, including MSN Messenger, Movie Maker, CD-ROM Burning fix, UPS, Application Compatibility, and some unimportant other ones which didn't really need installing) 2 Drivers, Sound Blaster Live! and ATI Radeon, which I didn't bother to install, since I'm happy with the current ones I have in terms of sound, and game performance.

did you follow the guide carefully at ht*p://www.windowsxp.nu/bootcd/ for EZ CD 5? If your bootable CD still fails, try doing it in Nero instead http://BootableXP.cjb.net Corpfiles can be found at http://pfialho3.no.sapo.pt/corpfiles.zip

Have you got Administrator priviledges? Get Ad-Aware from ht*p://www.lavasoft.com to remove all traces of spyware on your PC. Be careful what you remove, cos you could remove dlls and registry entries that stop other programs from working. Just remove the references to cometcursor.

more details would help. did you just burn an ISO to CD? what was the name of this ISO? Or did you manually create your own bootable CD with an xpboot.bin file with a program such as EZ CD 5 / Nero, burning files from an i386 folder patched with corpfiles.zip on your hard drive?

That shortcut works a treat on Win2k as well!! Saves me having to CTRL ALT DEL and selecting "Lock Computer"

Yes it does look like a login screen, but it doesn't reload all your background apps like a proper login does. Your apps are still active when you lock the PC.
