  1. Btw, here's a screenie of .NET RC1, along with Windows Media Player Corona 9 and MSN Messenger 5: Click on above thumbnail to enlarge
  2. Hudson - Its from the Customer Preview Program, free to sign up to. http://www.microsoft.com/windows.netserver...ew/default.mspx I know its mainly for a corporate environment, but isn't it true that the IIS webserver in Windows XP only allows 10 concurrent connections? So its probably better to get .NET Webserver/Standard Server
  3. The BSOD is very rare and random though... it hasn't happened to you yet, but it could do in future.. unless Kerio fixed it in their new beta.
  4. I wouldn't use a Kerio Beta myself, (until final) but I hope their newer version fixes the problem outlined @ DSLReports Forum thread There seems to be a conflict with Proxomitron and Kerio, and I had the BSOD yesterday as they described.
  5. You have to be a Microsoft Beta tester to get this. J/K!! http://www.microsoft.com/windows.netserver...ew/default.mspx
  6. Yum! http://vzone.virgin.net/aaron.stevens/down...loading_rc1.png
  7. You can get a top end CDRW burner for under $125 now. A LiteOn 40x12x40 CD-RW I'm very happy with the performance of my LiteOn, can read and write anything!
  8. WB Hudson, haven't heard from you for a long time now in #msbetang!
  9. MSConfig isn't included in Win2k.... but StartupCPL at http://www.mlin.net is an effective startup editing app. I even like it better than MSConfig
  10. You could try your luck on EBay
  11. Happy Birthday you old gandu! I'll post that Win2k with SP3 slipstreamed CD for your present

  13. ATA100 support first appeared in SP2. I'm not sure if SP3 offers ATA133, but I found my Maxtor to be operating at UDMA 6 when I was in SP2 via the SiSoft Sandra 2002 app. (I'm unable to determine my UDMA mode from Device Properties, because of the fact my 2 hard drives are now on a ATA133 Promise disk controller.)
  14. Nope, its only available for XP, Its one of Microsoft's tactics to force customers to buy their latest OS. But you can get a rip of windows media player 8, which is about 5MB. Maybe Bink's site at www.windowsxp.nu has the links... somewhere...
  15. This thread has been flying all over the place. I've placed this in the Windows 9x/ME/2k/NT section. It doesn't need to be in XP Support > Hardware. Its a windows 98 issue.
  16. http://download.microsoft.com/download/win...N-US/w2ksp3.exe enjoy!!
  17. gonna be hard to grab from that link that only allows 30 users max. Better to wait for it to appear on the ibm-pc.ms-beta newsgroup anytime now
  18. Lynchknot, thats strange, you have your screen res at 500x375? heh, I know you resized it, makes the screenie blurred. You can link externally for the real sized screenshots.
  19. Disregard the post I made about BetaOne's Article, it ain't bad as it seems according to some IRC WinXP channels I've been to. BetaOne did something wrong in the generating of the keys they did.
  20. hmm, judging by the title of the thread, I thought you was going to show us a screenshot!
  21. ???
  22. Also, when Viewing Active Threads from yesterday to today (not View New Posts), I go to one of the threads listed, then after pressing the back button - a page expired message appears in my browser, and a box comes up asking if I want to resend the information. Not had this before, been like that for a week or two now.
  23. 0X0000007E(0XC0000005,0XFC681PED,0XFC968C84,0XFC96894) <-- That is the STOP error chris...
