  1. Also, some themes are a bit dodgy and won't appear in the Appearances window, try out a couple more different themes first.
  2. Moved to Networks, Internet and Security
  3. Have you patched your UXTheme.dll file with the multipatcher yet, and rebooted?
  4. Don't forget to enable Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service. Details on how to do that is at: http://www.MSFN.org/win2k3/services.htm
  5. Use Windows 2000 with SP3 (SP4 goes final at mid-June), install Dx9.0a and some DirectX compatible graphics drivers and you're good to go for playing games. Win2k is just as good as XP for games. (although, not for everyone...) Go back to XP when SP2 comes out, should fix a lot of bugs then
  6. Maximize your IE window, or resize it to your choice. Hold down the CTRL key and click on X
  7. And to allow those hacked themes to work, grab the UXTheme.dll multipatcher
  8. Not sure, I think Microsoft released it because 98 was starting to get dated, complete mess up though. Windows 2000 was released in December 1999, and WinME in March 2000 (AFAIK). Windows 2000 Professional soon evolved from being a business OS to a desktop OS when SP1 came out.
  9. Moved to Windows XP forum

  11. Yeah, Print Screen can't take screenshots of something that's using DirectDraw. However Hypersnap can. I won't be taking a screenshot of my desktop, visualise this... default blue win2k background, and junk filling the whole desktop. I'll never get around to cleaning it up!
  12. I guess theres downsides to sharing an Internet connection at home That can be bypassed by using a decent router, or a cheap box running a linux distro like Smoothwall, and forwarding ports 6891-6899

  14. Let us know which link, and we will remove it for you if bandwidth is a concern.
  15. Moved to Software Hangout
  16. One thread per app code should be ok.
  17. Anyone! Doggie's just the moderator and current MSFN coding genius
  18. Still funny as ever! I even archive them all on the PC
  19. That's the third time you've asked. Asking once is enough. Are you using Windows ME? I don't think anybody is able to sign in on MSN using Windows ME.

    Why?

Keep in mind its not just adults on MSFN. Usually these very graphic images are only shown on late night TV News, and not in the daytime. Please respect this.
  21. Welcome to MSFN Quite a number of posts you got there.

Consider getting a new ISP, your ISP must be blocking the downloading of files.
  23. There isn't one yet.
  24. Most of them show its from OSBetas.com as well, our close affiliates. But then, anyone can fake a 'from' address easily now.
