I've never seen anything like that! I've had icons that change to a different one, but not ones that overlap another If you have TweakUI installed, then go to the Repair Tab and Rebuild Icons. It will probably help to reboot as Jay said to clear out the icon cache.

If you add /server -m rollingrock.purplewire.org -j #MSFN to your perform list you'll be opening a new server window for Altnet everytime you reconnect to Quakenet. The best method for connecting to multiple servers is to bring up the IRC Options window, select a server and tick the box to 'New server window'. And repeat the process for the number of networks you reside on. I stay connected to 4 networks, and only have to do this process 4 times on bootup until my next reboot, or when I close mirc

Yep, pure brilliance. By guessing - Its got no textures in the executable, its got 64k of code instructing DirectX what textures and sounds to generate, which makes it very small. btw, its neither a virus or trojan, it hasn't attempted to access the net, and doesn't bring up anything on NAV, seeing as this is a popular file and its been around for nearly 2 years. SqueakyByte - Your virus scanner is too sensitive.

For the hotfixes its /Q /M /Z instead of -q -z -u and because you're using cmdlines.txt instead of using batch files executed by GuiRunOnce its probably why - It's been said that its not recommended doing software installations from cmdlines here's a part of my batch file that installs hotfixes: CLS @echo off ECHO. ECHO Installing Windows Update Hotfixes ECHO. ECHO Installing Q329115... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q329115_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q329048... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q329048_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q323255... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q323255_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q329834... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q329834_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q329170... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q329170_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q328310... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q328310_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q329390... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q329390_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q810833... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q810833_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q810577... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q810577_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q331953... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q331953_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q814995... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q814995_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q811630... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q811630_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing JScript 5.6... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\js56nen.exe /Q:A /R:N ECHO. ECHO Installing Q810565... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q810565_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Q814033... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\Q814033_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.exe /Q /M /Z ECHO. ECHO Installing Cumulative Patch for IE6... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\q813489.exe /Q:A /R:N ECHO. ECHO Installing Cumulative Patch for OE6... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Hotfixes\q330994.exe /Q:A /R:N ECHO. EXIT The /wait switch tells to wait for one hotfix installation to finish before going to the next one in the batch, this will avoid conflicts. Silent Install switches vary for different Windows Installer files, here's a list that I've collected for various setup applications: MSN Messenger 3.6 = msn36.exe /Q:A /R:N MSN Messenger 5.0.0544 = msnmsgs.msi /QB WMP9 = MPSetupXP.exe /Q:A /R:N Movie Maker 2 = mm20.msi /qn TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe /s /v/qn TaskswitchPowertoySetup.exe /s /v/qn .NET Framework 1.1 = extract and use netfx.msi /QB msjavwu.exe /Q:A /R:N Diskeeper = extract file and use Setup.exe /s /v/qn (same for update file) Flashget = fgf140.exe /S SAV 8.01 = sav801b425.exe /qn IE6SP1 = ie6setup.exe /Q:A /R:N O&O Defrag 4 = oo_defrag_pro.msi /qn Nero = Nero551028.exe /silent /noreboot

My other monitor is faulty, everytime I start a game it goes on standby, everytime I run a winamp plugin at full screen, it goes on standby! Seemed it didn't like DirectX because all the other monitors work fine. Going to get it RMA'ed when I can be bothered to do it lol.

I don't know how your attached image is supposed to help... but have you tried the MSN Messenger 6 preview that went official yesterday? It's many builds higher than the links given by Jay.

You won't need to reformat if you use software such as Powerquest's PartitionMagic 8 or Acronis' Partition Expert 2003. Unfortunately, PM8 is a demonstration only (changes won't take effect) and Partition Expert doesn't have a trial download. edit: Actually it does, I'm blind! http://www.acronis.com/download/partitionexpert/ (but also another demo )

<tr> <td> <img src="images/spacer.gif" width="3" height="1" alt=""> </td> </tr> First rule of XHTML, never write in uppercase btw, I don't think any tags are supposed to be in after tr, since its just a tag attribute to tell the table there is a row. The code after the td attribute is ok, hence the change in code I've made above. It's also helpful to add border="1" attribute inside your table tag, so you can see how your tables are being laid out before publishing to the internet. -

Yeah, it seems nVidia drivers are more of a problem to get working on Win2k3 than ATi's drivers according to past threads. Dunno why. I don't expect nVidia to enhance their drivers for win2k3 either, since it isn't for gaming.
