    Cat 3.4s

They will update their pages in due time. We know they're final release, because the release notes have been created for them, and Terry Makedon (member of the catalyst development team) said yesterday that the 3.4's would be released today. by the way, are you having any problems with the comments system on the news articles? Usually it would be posted there.
  2. working fine here, it seems a certain number of people are having trouble signing in, as 3 people have asked me the same thing today.
  3. heh, UHARC.. a DOS compression format that's been used by warez rip groups for years... and you claim its yours?
  4. You could try Western Digital's LifeGuard tool, which works for all other hard drives as well.
  5. no you're not! lol Bet you get a lot of attention from girls eh?
  6. lol, a joke that passes through all the tech sites, nice one fdiaz

  10. If your dad works for MS, he would be able to solve your problem in a snip!

    Simple Sig

We disabled it a while back due to some members complaining it freezed their browser when loading threads. As a result, flash animations in sigs and avatars are disabled.
  12. As the guide says itself, its for converting a server to a workstation, not on how to crack windows And yes, its against the rules for discussion of circumventing Windows Activation and links to warez/cracks on this site.
  13. Word 7? That's before Microsoft Word 97 came on the scene right? I never went that far back anyway I don't know if Word 7 supports it, but you probably missed out the spell checker component for Word, may have been set as optional by default. I know that Office 97 onwards puts in the spell checker for OE, so I'm unsure about Word 7.
  14. The built in chkdsk tool is very good, you can run it from command prompt with certain switches. To get a full listing of those switches type: chkdsk /? all you probably need to use is the /F switch to fix errors if any are found, you will need to reboot so the volume can dismount before fixing these sectors.
  15. http://www.MSFN.org/comments.php?id=2948&catid=1 Messenger 6 looks like a big improvement eh? Can't really wait to use this one w00t
  16. yeah that works well, heck even I did it for the fun of it But I wouldn't expect Microsoft to fix future bugs relating to multimedia or gaming issues in Windows Server 2003, so those peeps who still use it for gaming and watching DivX won't last long...
  17. Longhorn and Win2k3 shouldn't be compared at all. Longhorn is a client OS, Windows XP's successor. Windows Server 2003 is the successor to the Windows 2000 Server family. Put it this way, if I wanted a client platform for multimedia and gaming, I would use Windows XP. If I wanted to run a webserver with over 10 concurrent connections, along with FTP, NNTP and SUS, then Windows Server 2003.

  19. omfg lmfao
  20. Thanks, helping MSFN members is our No.1 priority Welcome to MSFN!
  21. Correct, your new hard drive will only go at the speed of your slowest drive on the same channel. SiSoft Sandra 2003 is a good application to benchmark your hard drive speeds, or you can use a more basic benchmark app known as hd_speed
  22. lol Let's stay on-topic guys
  23. Not to sound like an a**, but System Restore is for people who often make mistakes with their OS. On a Server OS, you set up a running internet or intranet service, and leave it to do its job. Sever Operating Systems are more in the hands of a System Adminstrator, and they are so much more accustomed to running backup tools such as Ghost and tape backups in the event of something going wrong. System Restore isn't a suitable tool for restoring a good configuration as it isn't 100% perfect, whereas an exact image duplicate is. That's why MS removed it.
  24. whoa Must be behind on all the windows xp security patches eh? w00t
