  5. Tried that on my test VPC running Windows XP with MSN Messenger 5.0.0544 installed. After clicking Yes, I get the "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed" error message. just letting you know
  6. Have you updated to Dx9.0a? I remember the first 9.0 release had issues with Messenger, but I couldn't remember what exactly.
  7. Its unlikely the existing Plex theme will be used in the final of Longhorn. Remember the Whistler to Luna transformation during the betas of Windows XP?
  8. Nice stunt gamehead200
  9. If there are programs interrupting the scandisk process, even though you only have two programs active in memory, the best thing to do is go into safe mode and run scandisk from there. You might want to run disk defragmenter as well while you're there because its likely to get interrupted if you ran it in normal mode. Hope this helps
  10. Is it possible to get the res back at 1024? Just realised its at 640 and don't think I can change it back to 1024 unless I start a whole new game
  11. 5? I'm not sure why you installed 5 different ATI software for the card to operate, but most of them are optional and not a requirement for the card to operate, like ATI DVD and ATI Multimedia Center, which I've never needed to use. The drivers alone is all you need. The control panel software is also optional.
  12. I thought ATI's drivers have been pretty much decent. They're slow to release them, but they're good. What kind of problems do you get?
  13. Accessing web services outside the network... usually its done differently than port forwarding. You might have to DMZ your port 3389 for outside access. Also check your webserver software to make sure it isn't only for internal LAN access. Apache has such a setting, but I don't know for IIS
  14. What program or file do you try to open to produce that error? Is ghhle.exe on your hard drive, and what program was it for? (I've searched on google, nothing there) If you're still unsure what registry entries to delete, change the file associations for the extension instead (if it's a file!) edit: Just read topic after posting this, ok.. go into Start > Run > MSCONFIG and look for references to ghhle.exe in the startup tab or any of the other similar error messages you received. Delete them.
  15. Voted 9800, I like to have the latest stuff, and hopefully getting this card with my new system in 2 months. Forgot to mention, I've never liked nvidia's cards, since the first 2 I had from them caused BSODs to no end
  16. Usually a bit of soccer in the summer. Would like to try out the extreme sports though, like skydiving
