If the floppy drive is connected properly (floppy cabel, power cable) to the motherboard and floppy isn't working, you'll have to buy a new floppy drive one way or another...
You're welcome shaokahn I have two PC-s at home also but I installed SP2 on just one.. The ICS is working perfectly on the second PC without SP2.. I'm currently installing SP2 on that PC and I'll try to figure out why second solution is not working.. Cheers!
I had the same problem and I fixed it. You can do this by entering DNS addresses of your ISP on the PC which can't use the Internet, in this case (192.168.0.2) Other solution would be to run a "setup a home or small office network connection" option in network connections on both PC-s.. This setup will set IP configuration on both PC-s and one with the ICS will act as mini-DHCP. Please write reply if this helps...
I had the same problem, explorer was crashing very often, reinstalled windows didn't help me much, explorer was still crashing but in the rarely manner... Installed XPSP2 and now my explorer didn't crashed for a long time
So far I have used Coda V33 codec pack and you don't need any additional codec pack. Coda is everything you need... But windows Media player 10 has started to crash, not very often, only when I'm watching divx... Then I downloaded Total Pack 1.8 and now my WMP is working properly..
@prathapml This is Windows XP SP1 installation and SP2 was installed afterwards... I checked windows update site yesterday and I found one critical update which was: Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool (KB873374) The Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool helps detect the presence of Microsoft products (other than Windows) that contain the GDI+ component. Microsoft customers can run this tool to help determine if a GDI+ security update is required. Microsoft recommends you visit the Office Update site to determine if your computer requires security updates for Office family products. That update was described as High priority update.... At windows update site states that my computer is set to get notifications when critical updates occur...
So, has anyone find solution for this 'cause after SP2 installation Windows Update tray notification icon don't show up if updates occur... I checked "notify me but don't automatically download or install them" radio button..
I've just installed Kaspersky Anti Virus and so far is working OK, but in my opinion NOD32 is one of the best AV Programs.. wonder what will Norton 2005 will offer to us??
Couldn't agree with you more 'cause I had the same problem which was fixed all by myself, don't wanna be all by myself (score from shrek, donkey singing )
