  1. I totally agree with you, once the spyware and adware hits your PC it's uncleanable
  2. Please let us know if you'll be successfull
  3. During the text portion you'll be able to use "win partition manager", and there make sure you choose recreate partitions and install wins on that partition..
  4. It is impossible to change drive letter of your system partition without reinstalling windows...
  5. One situation of hard infected PC: The one thing I can say is that these spyware tools are no good when the spyware is already on your PC. I tried every spyware tool that I know about and they all did the same thing, except Ad-Aware SE Pro. Ad-Aware was one of the worst ones, it couldn't detect half of what the others could.
  6. in msconfig remove all the entries that I've selected...
  7. Yes, from the registry and from the system..
  8. I know that and I suggested that to him a few posts before but he won't listen.. Antispyware programs are good to prevent spyware and adware from infecting PC, but when the PC is aleready hard infected I don't see the other solution than to reinstall windows...
  9. and another key:
  10. As I sad and as the sixpack said do as I told you... I checked the processes that are spyware, adware or virus..
  11. You should patch Spybot not IE for DSO exploit..
  12. I must admit that new M$ Anti-Spy program looks and works very neat.. It is in beta version though and it's free for now, but it's loaded with options and settings...
  13. You're loaded with spyware $ adware.. Please scan your system with at least Spybot S&D and Adaware, or Pest patrol.. Or you can use new M$ antispyware program which is currently beta and its free 'till the 31.07.2005--think it's very good...
  14. Please post information on what this registry keys contain: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and what's in the startup folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup According to this problem i suspect that maybe you have a startup script in local computer policy which applies only with starting/restarting the computer and not with logoff/logon... Very strange indeed..
  15. You should provide RAID controller drivers on the text portion of the setup. Hit F6 to install RAID or SCSI device drivers when prompted...
  16. Do you have Ipconfig.exe file in C:\Windows\system32 directory..
  17. It works fine for me....
  18. Control Panel --> Users --> change the way users log on/off --> clear the "use the welcome screen" option..
  19. You should check if there's any new BIOS version abailable for your MBO.. I think this could fix your problem with large HDD..
  20. I have ISDN 64/128K but since it's not on a voting list I can't vote for it

    Help me anyone

According to this I suspect that you can't access only pages over a secure connection (https). Ensure that SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 in the internet options are checked.. This pages are using HTTP, but HTTPS is only used during username and password transfer, so the information sent from a client to server is encrypted. Do you have a internet firewall enabled that has port 443 closed?
  22. Merry Xmas to you too.. I have two computers and in one I have DFI motherboard with Pentium II @ 400MHz on it, and had no problems with it. Second one uses Asus P4 C800 Deluxe MB with P4 @ 2.8 GHz, this one I'm using for one year now and never had any problems of any kind... So, I would recommend Asus, DFI, Soltek, Gigabyte MBO-s. You can't miss here As for the memory, currently using Kigston HyperX DDR 400 and it works perfectly.. I would recommend either expensive Kingston or even more expensive and the best overclocking memory Corsair... (that's just my opinion)
  23. Try to scan your computer for viruses, adware, spyware, 'cause Windows shouldn't freeze at the moment you enter add/remove programs. This problem indicates that you can't uninstall any of the programs in your computer by the means add/remove..
  24. You could use Ad Aware SE and Spybot S&D in combination.. I think that this two programs would be able to clean up your system from this unwanted stuff..
