  1. Right click on drive/partition and then "format" or if you want to format your whole disk, run the windows xp bootable cd where you'll get option to create partitions or format a whole disk...

  5. Nope, that didn't work.. that tweak was just for that security center warning, not that other tray icon. Ok, now the only key which could be responsible for this is one of these: Disable ALL BalloonTips [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] "EnableBalloonTips"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoSMBalloonTip"=dword:00000000 Try to change the values for this keys to dword:00000001, maybe this will fix the problem...

  9. If I understood you correctly you should logon with local administrator account or account with administrator privilegies and remove it from domain... Then you can delete the profiles you don't need from C:\documents and settings\
  10. In folder options check "show hidden files and folders" radio button.. You should see several hidden folders starting with the $ sign... Those folders contain uninstall information for the patches you've installed...

    Strange, never heard of that problem ???? What's the error when you try to install it on the other machine?
  14. I've used Outpost till now, but after installation of SP2 it'll be removed from my system so I could free a little more of system resources

  17. Maybe some component stayed in registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run or in windows startup folder... Check that, you shoud find the solution there...
  18. what app are you trying to launch when this error occurs? If this problem is because of Asus driver and uninstall of the driver didn't help, try to run system restore..

  20. Can you ping those two machines, is the IP configuration OK? Under folder options, view tab, clear the "use simple file sharing" box..

  23. As this is a fresh installation of Windows, boot from XP CD and create partitions as you like and then reinstall Windows. I don't think that you be able to change system drive in any way
  24. Have you tried to flash BIOS with the latest version from ASUS web site?
  25. Your browser has been hijacked for sure.. I recommend you Spybot S&D 1.3, a free spyware and adware removal program..
