  1. This is what I use and it works for me..... cmd2[pn]=['taskill /F /IM iexplore.exe']
  2. I personally think Pentium stuff is overpriced but, whatever floats yer boat dude. As for Dell....Their laptops are pretty good but, their desktops are nowhere near as good as you can build yourself.
  3. A good Antec Tower with or without window is under 100.00 including a 420 watt power supply and they make excellent cases and power supplies....go see em' at www.antec.com.
  4. Tell your teachers what you just wrote here...ask them what they think you need to do to bring your marks up. Remember, The higher you go in school the more work you have to put in to stay on top. Doing the same things as you did in grade 6 & 7 for grade 8 is probably not enough.
  5. Use the Search! I found this first try .... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...=0entry237472
  6. Why? They don't require explanation to windows and you can add your own drivers as needed......
  7. You have to use the proper color map for changes to the boot screen. If you followed the tut EXACTLY and used the proper color map for either paintshop or photoshop it will work....i have already done it with no trouble. You also have to make sure that your edited version numbers are exactly the same as the original file!
  8. You re-formatted and the monitor still won't go? i assume it works in DOS mode if you could format and not in windows after you re-installed?
  9. Try a BIOS Update.......I just noticed the A7N8X -E Deluxe has a new one, 1013, I'm getting myself...(I have the same mobo)
  10. Call of duty for Multi-player.....Far Cry for solo action!
  11. Here is the list for you.....See if your Ram is listed.... http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socketa/a7...-d/overview.htm scroll to the bottom......
  12. If you have not done so yet....go to asus web site and confirm that the RAM you got is compatible with your mobo.....they will have a link to a list of all RAM that passes thier testing and you should not use anything that is not on that list! Mobo's are notoriously finicky about what RAM they will use.....
  13. Have you updated the Bios too? Latest version is 1012
  14. If all those parts are new....did you replace the power supply with a minimum 300 watt unit? Good quality, like Antec? Also, go into the BIOS settings and check the temps in hardware monitor - make sure the cpu is not overheating. anything over 6o deg C is too high......
  15. Good Case - Antec Tower w\500 Watt Antec Power Supply - 120.00 Motherboard - Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe w/ DualDDR400, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, 2 x PCI-E x16 SLI - 180.00 AMD Athlon64 3500+ - 270.00 1 gig OCZ CAS 2 DDR400 RAM - 160.00 Video card - eVGA e-Geforce 6600 128MB PCI-E w/ DVI, TV-Out - 150.00 HDD - Maxtor 200 Gig SATA - 90.00 LG 16x DVD-ROM 25.00 LG DVD RW+- Dual Layer - 16x8x16 - 60.00 total = 1055.00 US.... Give or take 100.00 prices are not rock solid
  16. There should be a small label on the bottom of the machine or glued to the inside of the computer case too.....
  17. Are you using the %systemdrive% parameter in your configure.js file too?
  18. 1000 Pounds is about 2200.00 Canadian and you can get a pretty nice laptop around here for that much! Acer laptops are a good buy for the price, My sister bought a Acer travelmate wide screen 1.6 Centrino for 1899.00 Canadian and it has wireless - G, 80 gig drive and 512 Meg DDR with Geforce FX Go 5200 64 Meg Video.
  19. I have an Asus W1N w/ Centrino 1.7Ghz, 1GBDDR400 , 80GB HDD, 4x DVD+/-RW, 15.4in WSXGA+, Radeon 9600........it rocks! Cost a bundle though......
  20. yeah i was actually thinking about doing that after doing the update. and i have started to keep track to what i am adding right now. thanks for the additions, i will even go back and edit my post asking for help, to remove any switches that i now have. is the systemrestore used during install, i don't think so but just asking.is the kliteppk just the kazaa lite version? I have system restore turned off by default in my DVD ......but I have installed it on other machines via the command line with a /Q switch only and no problems - completely silent and the system restore was on, in those systems. Yes, It is the Kazaa Lite Version....
  21. Your voltage readings are well within normal ranges.....I suspect your RAM voltages will also be fine. Jetway are not a great quality board, although, they are getting better. I'd still suspect the mobo but, I have not seen you post a temp reading for your CPU yet....Have you got any figures? Temps too high will also cause problems like these......47 Deg C in BIOS mode means nothing since the CPU is not really working at all. You'l see a much higher increase when it's actually working.....
