  4. I have a MSI GeForce FX 5900XT - Great card!
  5. Copy the files mentioned above to a floppy. You can try to hit F5 during boot up and entering safe mode - command prompt. You can then copy the files to the appropriate folders from the command line......Worth a shot anyway!
  6. Firefox....of course!
  7. Tsunami 5.1 Home setup - connected to an Audigy 2 ZS
  8. I have tried to implement a custom kernel install using gosh's method in my unattended DVd but, he does not say where I should put the file "bootlogo.cmd" to allow the winnt.sif changes to work. Where do I copy the file to? I am using the GuiRunOnce method.......here is the relevant snippet of my .sif file: [Unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes OemPnPDriversPath="DRIVERS\ATI\Driver\2KXP_INF\DRIVERS\ATI\BIN;DRIVERS\ATI\Driver\2KXP_INF\B_18414;DRIVERS\ATI\Driver\;DRIVERS\ATI\WDM\WDM_XP;DRIVERS\ATI\WDM;DRIVERS\ATI" UnattendSwitch="yes" TargetPath=\WINDOWS DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore [GUIRunOnce] bootlogo.cmd
  9. I've been repairing systems and custom building them for years now, as a side business, mostly word of mouth for advertizing. I'd have to agree with crahak, I charge very little for repairs these days and if I can make 100.00 on a new system I'm lucky. I count myself as doing well if I can keep my own system "top of the line" for free using the profits of my home based repair shop. I now charge 20.00 per housecall. 40.00 if I'm there for 2 1/2 hrs or longer. Over 1/2 the customers I used to have are now doing their own repairs because they have learned enough over the last few years to do it themselves. As we all know, windows problems are a normal part of computing and these days, even the home user knows alot more than he used too!
  10. Bump.....No takers I see.....Please Help!!!!! The color changes I have already made are: rgb(28,178,42) I can't tell where else to do it.
  11. Cool...Thx SD...I'll try it!
  12. I am in the process of tweaking the look of my log in and log out screens using Restuner but, i think I need a little help. I have 90% of it completed by editing the "logonui.exe" file but there is a small area in the middle of the log off screen just above the "logging off" dialogue that I cannot seem to change. It stays the original blue no matter what i change. I have changed every bitmap in the file so I think the problem is in the UIFILE below......unless anyone knows if there is another file i need to edit? Here is my Revamped "logonui.exe file for you to see:
  13. If you can find out what client he is using.....go to the clients web site and find out the ports the client uses...then block them all at the router.
  14. Need lots more info dude......Give us a peek at your winnt.sif and are All the .inf and related driver files in the proper folders: ie: $oem$\$\Drivers\
  15. Shoot....I forgot all about them, LOL....I'll bet that's where is is.....
  16. Oh, I know it's supposed to be there. I removed all the wallpapers when I used nlite - just so I could have only my own on the disk. It must have worked because a search comes up empty...the question still remailns though.....where is it hiding if i still get coming up as the default wallpaper? Is it hiding in a dll?
  17. I bought a Dell Inspiron 5150 last year....So far all is well physically....(fingers crossed). The very first thing I did when I got it out of the box was to format the drive and install my own software....never had any problems with it. The 10 or so CD's that came with it went into the garbage! Hehehehe
  18. No bliss.jpg or bliss.jp_ found.........I don't get it!
  19. Your bin\cue file has to be an image of a bootable cd to boot! What are you trying to burn?
  20. I tried using your app for my cd since I wanted my own desktop picture to load but I can't get it, or anything else I try, to work. Here is my start.cmd entries: start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Application\wallpaper\Changewallpaper.exe /C\windows\Web\wallpaper\Diagram.jpg I've tried to change it to %systemdrive% instead of C:\ windows too and it doesn't work either. I have also tried moving it around in the order from near the beginning to the very last command run and it won't change it. I tried using my reg file as well but it won't swap the wallpaper either. Here is that code as well" Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;Disable Automatic Restart in the event of a BSOD [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl] "AutoReboot"=dword:00000000 ;Wallpaper before and After Login [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop] "Wallpaper"="c:\\windows\\web\wallpaper\\Diagram.jpg" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop] "Wallpaper"="c:\\windows\\web\wallpaper\\Diagram.jpg" What am I doing wrong? I've also noticed that I don't even have bliss.jpg anywhere on my CD and yet it loads every time! Where does it hide? I could always edit the picture itself to what I want if i knew where to find it. FYI, I searched with hidden files and folders enabled
  21. Use nlite...available here.....
  22. I would think that's a question for tech support at Kerio - not here!
  23. That's what I figured, Thanks for the verification.... Will this also work for the Video drivers? I extracted them into the DRIVERS\NVIDIA folder too......
  24. OK....I'm going to try the method described above but, after i extract the nvidia files to the appropriate folders and edit the .sif file....can I delete the setup.exe and datd.cab's and other files that winrar etracts to the $OEM$\$\Drivers\nforce folder itself? I checked and all the inf's and sys files are in the different folders but I have alot of files left outside the folders that are listed in my .sif file
  25. Hello all! First off, I must say this board is awesome! I have learned a TON of things here! I tried searching for this but, was unable to find what I'm after. I have installed Nero 6.3.120 with the "start.cmd" method (along with everything else) and everything is working great but, when Nero Is completed and about 3 more programs along the install, I get a Nero Registration Screen\Nag that appears. I have to manually close it and the never register button and I was wondering if there is any way to get rid of it..... Here is my Start.cmd lines to look at..... ECHO Assimilating all Applications ECHO. ECHO Assimilating Winrar 3.30 Corporate Edition.... ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Application\Winrar\winrar3.30.exe /s ECHO. ECHO Assimilating Nero Burning Rom 6.3.120..... Echo Please Wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Application\Nero\Nero63120.exe /SN=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx /WRITE_SN /SILENT /NO_UI /NOREBOOT /NOLICENSE ECHO. ECHO Installing Alcohol 120%..... ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Application\Alcohol\setup.exe /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress DRIVER0=ide1bus DRIVER1=bus1scsi ECHO. ECHO Assimilating Alcohol Reg file... ECHO Please wait... REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Install\Application\Alcohol\regfile.reg
