  1. A log file would be helpful. What type of disc were you burning, a data dvd, image file to dvd, etc? What are the specs of the system? OS, RAM, CPU? Have you tried using other burning programs like ImgBurn, InfraRecorder, CDBurnerXP, etc? Could be the LG drive does not like the Sony DVD-R media, might need to update firmware or buy different media.
  2. I think when you burned the iso image it probably closed the disc, meaning single session; thus it would not be possible to 'convert' it into a multisession disc afterwards. It probably burned using DAO or disc-at-once, again this closes the disc. Usually multisession is used when burning a data disc and must be specified in the beginning. You could probably scan the disc using imgburn or dvdinfo to verify this.
  3. I recommend LuxRiot, not sure but I think it can export WMV also. http://luxriot.com/ Also check out Active WebCam http://www.pysoft.com/ActiveWebCamMainpage.htm#pop WebcamXP http://www.webcamxp.com/home.aspx Milestone Xprotect http://www.milestonesys.com/ iCatcher http://www.icode.co.uk/icatcher/products/console.html exacqvision http://www.exacq.com/products/vms_photos.html

  7. What I dont understand is if this trick works from the WAN or LAN? Even though its trivial to crack WEP and access the router you still need to be in range.
  8. NEWS http://blogs.vmware.com/teamfusion/2009/10...on-the-mac.html HOMEPAGE http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/ CHANGES http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-10957 DOWNLOAD http://downloads.vmware.com/d/details/fusi...mQlJWpiZGVkdA== Some great features including full 64-bit host support with Snow Leopard, DirectX 9 Shader Model 3, Aero in Windows guests, etc. Huge improvement.
  9. You could try again with the Deep Scan option in Recuva or some other file recovery software. I notice you say your 'system hung' too which would indicate you might have a hardware problem - perhaps a failing hard drive. Obviously backups are a good idea, you might also consider upgrading to Vista or 7 which has the Previous Versions feature. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_Copy
  10. Try opening the files with notepad or a hex editor to see if there is some structure to those files or if they are indeed corrupt. Try recovering the files from the removable volume using software like Recuva (freeware) http://www.piriform.com/recuva
  11. This is a XP / Driver (hardware) issue so I am moving this topic to a more appropriate forum. If you can find out the HWID from Device Manager > Display Adatpers > *device* Properties > Details Tab Example
  12. Just got this news via email. Most important new features for me is removing the ads and the ability to bypass a blocked page bypass. http://www.opendns.com/start/
  13. You need share and ntfs permissions to move the files.
  14. I would test the video before burning. You can easily do that with Media Player Classic http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ From the File menu select Open DVD then browse to the folder, verify the video works and is in PAL format. It's also possible it may be that your DVD player is not compatible with the DVD media you're using.
  15. Thank you EarthJim, I decided to modify your topic title so it reflects that these videos are specific to Acronis True Image.
  16. It depends was the recovery partition destroyed with all the reformatting? Verify the recovery partition exists then it should be possible. How does this differ from the Sticky topic?
  17. The idea is not to affect IE in any way to avoid breaking compatibility with sites that require IE (ActiveX/Trident), but enable compatibility with their own sites (Gmail/Docs/Wave). Honestly this would be convenient so people could get the best of both worlds through one program. I am not probably going to use it, just explaining it in a way that makes sense to me.
  18. I think it's a smart move by Google, it will be insurance that their "apps" can work within IE. I don't understand why they don't provide an MSI and ADMX files for Chrome though.
  19. NEWS http://blogs.vmware.com/workstation/2009/1...-available.html DOWNLOAD http://communities.vmware.com/community/beta/workstation Some nice new features but its buggy
  20. Um dont give users administrator rights?
  21. Don't understand what is the use to have both encoder and decoder and also filter for the same thing, for example MPEG. This is because I don't really understand the difference between filter, encoder, and decoder. I know they must have different functions. If a MPEG filter is needed to play mpg files, why do I need its encoder and decoder? An encoder is used to compress a media file into a specific format. A decoder is used to play back a media format. I do not reccomend codec packs, instead use Media Player Classic Home Cinema which has many decoders built right in.
  22. You can pipe a program output to another program using the | character such as ipconfig | clip As for your situation I would probably use Search to find all the RARs, select and move them to the target folder, then select and extract all of them from the context menu. WinRAR does ship with a cmd line tool called rar.exe
  23. Windows 7 had a feature called PC Safeguard, later renamed Guest Mode, but was ultimately pulled in order to ship on time. ReturnNil works with 64-bit systems http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/ Acronis True Image has the Try&Decide feature http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ CleanSlate may work System Requirements are vauge http://www.fortresgrand.com/products/cls/cls.htm Similiar apps that don't support 64-bit BufferZone http://www.trustware.com/ ShadowSurfer http://www.storagecraft.com/shadow_surfer.php Interesting GreenBorder was acquired by Google and is no longer availible, sandboxing technology integrated into Chrome... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GreenBorder
  24. Not sure what 'resfinder' you're referring to, but maybe one of these applications will help? http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/resources_extract.html http://www.anol.is/software.php http://www.wilsonc.demon.co.uk/d10resourceeditor.htm http://www.heaventools.com/resource-tuner-features.htm http://www.sowsoft.com/search.htm
