  1. ngemu seems to be the best emulator related website imo. though there has been steady work on n64 emulators, I think that project64 is still considered the best for speed and compatibility. but you can find out here: http://www.ngemu.com/n64/ [EDIT] OK i went and looked, it looks like the graphics plugins (ie Glide64) for Project64 and other emulators has been improving for a while, otherwise there is a new emu called Mupen64 which is designed as an multi-OS n64 emu. There was a mini-update for Project64 1.5 SP1 in case you missed it ealier as well. http://www.emuxhaven.net/~glide64/ http://mupen64.emulation64.com/what.htm
  2. PerfectDisk v7.0, I liked the O&O v6.5 GUI better but did not like the hidden service it would run consuming memory, if I disable the service it fails to function, and O&O also had issues with the firewall. PerfectDisk has "smart defrag" which defrags accoring to how often certain clusters are accessed, whereas O&O has STEALTH, SPACE, COMPLETE/ Name, COMPLETE/Date, COMPLETE/Access. My guess is COMPLETE/Acess would be equal to smart defrag.
  3. i think you will see alot of fingerprint scanners in 2005/2006 being sold. Microsft said something recently about hoping to eliminate the need for passwords, in fact at microsoft i beleive they all already use some sort of biometric identification for everything. So I believe in Longhorn and near future internet most authorization will be done with biometrics.
  4. Im way more concerned with the closed source election software and the open friendship between diebold ceo and georgy bush. A conflict of interest in the national election, hello? I'm not saying he stole it, I thought the dry drunk would win the personality contest. I still proudly voted for better policy and character. There should be a poll, or the public should VOTE whether or not to use OPEN source software for future elections. Currently you need 'faith' that your vote was counted correctly or at all.
  5. alright im caving in if someone has a gmail invite I'd really appreciate it.
  6. im wondering why froogle has been 'beta' so long, i use it all the time for almost a year now and its great imo. They could really pull more people in to use that service and collect on referals. What are they waiting for???
  7. I drink mainly plain low fat milk and then water. B) Almost never drink soda, and never drink alcohol.

  10. Windows XP gets my vote for a number of reasons. But Windows ME? That OS was notorius for Driver support. BSOD all the time.
  11. agreed xtrememac, UltraISO hands down is the best. If you want to mount the image to a virtual drive use DaemonTools. Its free.

  14. Im surprised there is less interest in a command shell replacement. Console is a very nice cmd shell replacement. Has someone figured out how to auto-hide the cmd.exe window when its started? And is there a way to make console open instead when I run 'cmd' ?
  15. well i use nero too, but if he needs something free thats the best he can do imo.

  22. $10 here plus shipping http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...06688&CatId=877 I got one months ago for $30 so this is a good deal. This isnt a gaming card imo, I know it can handle Unreal Tournament 2004 in the lowest gfx settings though. Personally using a Radeon 9800 Pro. btw no one can play ps2 or gc on their pc yet, unless you can live with 1or2 frames per second. If you dont have something better than a geforce 4 then get this already! nvidia is very good [EDIT: The Best] with drivers, it makes a difference.
