  1. Fake detected! This file is Malware(creates a windows installer paranoia. When the driver is installed deals a blue screen)! Before you post such accusations, verify your facts. There is no malware in this file. It is simply a custom package of the sound blaster drivers, which you can open using WinRAR. Just because your computer crashed does not mean the file is infected.
  2. That's a rather bold assumption. A lot of people want to do that to simply be able to read webpages offline. There's a number of other reasons why people may want to download an offline version of a webpage, none of which are fraudulent. Statements like that when a valid question is passed is how you'll end up being known as a mean person.
  3. I personally always use Arctic Silver 5, thought there's been controversy as to whether or not it actually makes a real difference.
  4. I think you missed a bit of the point too. If you read carefully, although he may have difficulty with his english, he does state that he wants to prevent people from copying content from his local server, yet still be allowed to stream such content. The removable drives have nothing to do with it as he wants to prevent the copy from occurring even from the server to the local machine.

    Need advice

Respect forum rules and it won't be an issue.
  6. I use the default XP theme, at least I'm sure I won't get any visual glitches.
  7. Never. Carefully chosen and hand picked build.
  8. Windows XP Professional SP2.
  9. A physical floppy drive is useful for certain things, such as making disk images, but there is not much use left to them. Their small capacity and electromagnetic sensitivity have made them a thing of the past.
  10. ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme, there is no cooler on the market that can outperform this one. None.
  11. Also, if those devices were not valid, you would not even be able to do some of the simpler things in batch files such as COPY file.ext C:\dir > NUL to silence the output.
  12. Maybe if you don't know what you're doing.
  13. I don't use any reg hacks whatsoever. I use a stock, default IE.
  14. Oops, my bad. I didn't notice which forum this was.
  15. You can try re-installing vb script: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
  16. Up to date Windows XP Professional.

    Refund

I saved myself the pain. I just refuse to buy it. Anyways, XP will continue to be supported officially (which means windows updates as well) until April 8th, 2014. They have 7 years to get Vista fixed and I'm not in a hurry to switch.
  18. My wife's laptop used to do that within 10 mins. Turns out that her battery was covered by DELL recall program. When she got her new battery she stopped having problems.
  19. Corporate bureaucracy will always puzzle me.
  20. Probably not but a firewall on your local machine could prevent your from connecting if you're using passive mode.
  21. I was going to post about this but considering the original post's date and the lack of a response from the original poster, I'd almost say this is a dead topic.
  22. Aren't a few of the things you mentioned the same thing but made by different people?
  23. Your battery probably simply doesn't report it's capacity with enough accuracy.
