  1. You may also be victim of the capacitor plague. Make sure you clean the interior of your computer so that it's dust free and then visually and thoroughly inspect your motherboard's capacitors. Also, even if you spend hours without running into any issue even with your computer full of dust, it does not mean that it is not a cause of the issue. Dust is never good for a computer.
  2. Nope. They won't even ship to Canada.
  3. Why go through all the trouble? Just extract the nVidia drivers using WinRAR then when you integrate the drivers in nLite, simply pick the XP folder of the nVidia drivers and you're done.
  4. Why do you even speak? Can you give us details on the hardware you have? Power supply, motherboard, processor, memory, hard drive, etc? Typically when a computer reboots and cannot keep the proper FSB speeds, there is usually an issue with the processor itself. Though this is not necessarily the case. There are a number of things that must be checked. One of the most common oversights which can cause a multitude of problems is congested fans. Open up your case and take a good look at your CPU fan, make sure it's completely free of dust. To clean it, if necessary, simply blow on it, use a dry paint brush or use a can of dry compressed air. There are a number of other things to verify as well, however without knowing what your specific hardware is, it's hard to know where to go.
  5. Do not bump threads. If no one has answered, then no one will. There are enough members who continously look over all new posts that if someone had something to say regarding this, they would have done so. Perhaps someone will in the future as well since members view new posts at different frequencies. Either way, again, do not bump threads.
  6. Then let SPCR be your power supply bible.
  7. Norton is a Symantec brand.
  8. Technically...you do. You need the AMD Dual-Core Processor Driver, the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer, and a hotfix from Microsoft for it to work properly. Not to mention that the x86 platform just means that it supports the x86 codebase. Adding, multiplying, etc... There are specific things that are implemented in each company's processors that need to be supported by software. SSE, MMX and 3DNow instructions, for example.
  9. ePaper is the bomb. I can't wait for that technology to become commercially viable.
  10. If I hadn't used a similar method with WUD, my monthly bandwidth would have far exceeded the 50+GB/month it's at now.
  11. Wattage isn't everything. You can get a 500W power supply that's poorly balanced and won't hold a system together, yet a 350W well balanced power supply will. What's even more crucial is the quality of the power supply. That's something that a lot of people don't get. Oh and the reason NewEgg still carries power supplies which have over 40% bad reviews is simply because people keep buying them because they're cheap.
  12. He gets off claiming that because you have no clue what you're talking about. The guy's used to driving a Chevette and you want to throw him into a Ferrari. Obviously he's waited this long to upgrade hi GeForce3 because up until recently, it's been enough for him. He just needs a small boost, why make him spend more when he can get more then what he needs for less? Hell, even a GeForce FX5200 would probably be enough for him.
  13. You started a second thread with the same post. Please don't do that, it frustrates the hell out of people that would otherwise be interested in helping you. It's the best way to make sure we don't want to help you.
  14. What is your computer? Is it a laptop? What are it's specifications?
  15. No, and I never plan to. I don't feel the need to buy hardware from a vendor who only has a 15% market share. At least with an Intel I don't ever have to worry about hardware or software support, ever.
  16. That will not fix hardware issues. 64 bit Windows is not the miracle solution.
  17. I don't want the "cheapest" I want the one that has the most value. Bang for Buck. What about AMD? I heard they were slashing prices since Intel released the Core2 Duo. If you want advice regarding AMD, another member is going to have to help you as I simply don't see the value in their products.
  18. You need to do some programming to deny foreign referers.
  19. Core2 Duo 4300 is the cheapest in the Core2 lineup. As for the videocard, anything in the GeForce 8xxx series will more then do you good.
  20. You still haven't answered the question.
  21. Why don't you distribute your content via torrents like RyanVM?
  22. Please search the forums next time. This has been answered here, here, here and here.
  23. Perhaps a good question would be why would you want to do this?
  24. If you're going to do heavy stuff, I'd suggest you take the initial investment in buying yourself a top of the line motherboard such as the Asus Striker Extreme.
  25. All depends on what you do with your computer. Do you play games, if so which ones? What kind of software do you run? Do you do video encoding? Do you collect large files? And so on and so forth.
