1. Do not double post.
2. Often that will happen when your change the toner with something that's not original (toner not made by the same manufacturer as the printer) or when someone tried to use a refill kit. The best thing to do is to buy an original Brother toner catridge that's meant for that printer, then remove the old catridge, remove the drum (usually with Brother printers it's the tray that you put the toner in), and get yourself a can of compressed dry air and blow the crap out of the insides of the printer. Once you've completely cleaned out the insides of the printer, blow compressed air all over and into the drum assembly. Insert the new catridge and things should end up back to normal.
3. I have trouble understanding how people can refuse to accept that there are better technologies out there. And by the way, for those who believe that NTFS is crap because it's a Microsoft creation, so was FAT. FAT32 is the same technology as FAT16. In turn, FAT16 is the same technology as FAT12. The only thing that's changed is that they've built on top of FAT12 and extended to support more features, bigger files and larger partitions. So in reality FAT32 is simply technology from 1977 that's been adjusted to fit more recent demands (as of 1996). FAT32 simply cannot outdo NTFS. As a matter of fact, some of the easy to run into situations of modern computing today simply cannot be achieved with FAT32. Files over 4GB for example or a RAID array of more then 8TB (easily achieveable with modern disks, it would only take 10 x Hitachi 7K1000 in RAID 5). Performance, reliability, stability and data recovery are all on NTFS's side as well. Simply dismissing those facts because you need special software to be able to do data recovery on NTFS partitions is ignoring the facts and simply pointing a finger at an unrelated issue. NTFS is the only choice for modern day computing.
4. Pioneer just released their DVR-212D which is a SATA version of the famous DVR-112D.
5. It really wouldn't suprise me. They did the same thing with Windows 98, then ME and then 2000. So why wouldn't they just drop their XP customers like cold bricks? I guess WUD could still be useful up until 2014.
6. That's good to know. Thanks.
7. At the moment, downloading is handled internally through direct HTTP connections within WUD itself.
8. ULs are usually updated in the week following the Microsoft Patch Tuesday. You'll be seeing new ULs in April.
9. There are a lot of good ideas for WUD that have been posted in this thread. I've been a little out of it for the last two months or so, just moved into a new house, so thinks have been really disorganized, but I'm thinking of whipping out a v3 of WUD. Perhaps even using .NET 3.0...
10. If that's the case, then no one has made any ULs for it yet.
11. If that's the case, then no one has made any ULs for it yet.
12. I don't believe there is such a thing as Office 2002. I think you're referring to Office 2003, which, if that's the case, the ULs listed on http://wud.jcarle.com/ for Office 2003 are the most up to date ones available at the moment.
13. If a few people can verify the UL for Vista and post here, then I'll add it as a regular on WUD's homepage.
14. Definately sounds like the proxy is causing you grief.
15. If the UL is zipped and the extension is renamed to ULZ, it will automatically unzip and copy the UL to WUD's program directory.
16. Sounds like the proxy you're using is buggy... Pretty sure that the proxy server's software must be corrupting some of the traffic.
17. I'll take a look and see if there's some sort of character set limitation in effect...
18. Are you using an authenticated proxy?
19. At the moment, no one has submitted any Vista ULs.
20. Well, in fact, you can. The first section of a UL has the following: <categories>

</categories> If you replace the text within the
tags, it will change the output folder.
21. Detecting currently installed updates is not currently done in WUD, though there is possible plans for it to do so in the future.
22. Make sure you integrate the final version of WMP11, it will not work with the beta version.
23. Er? What?

media player 11 ?

You're going to have to ask marchino74 as he is the one who maintains the italian UL.
