  1. For the slipstreamer? You need at least Windows XP Service Pack 2. Look at the website given on the first post.
  2. What did you start with? Windows XP SP1? SP0? SP2?
  3. Here is a link to a post containing a link to an addon that can install the frameworks from 1.1 sp1 to 3.5: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...st&p=725819
  4. There is an addon on this site somewhere that installs all .net frameworks, I downloaded it just the other day. As far as directx goes, there is an addon out there for that as well that integrates the latest dlls.
  5. Unlike the previous post, I liked this wallpaper; I've actually been using for months now.
  6. Is it possible to have a single addon that contains all of these items and be easily updated simply by replacing the files inside a .rar addon?
  7. I found that integrating certain IE7 addons with SP3 integrated made IE7 act funny. What I did was just download the IE7 installer from Microsoft and install it, and it corrected whatever issues I had.
  8. I have tested this addon as well; brilliant!
  9. I find that you cannot use RunOnceEx with Windows XP SP3 build 3244; I had to modify nlite.cmd to include all of the applications that are normally installed with runonceex.cmd.
  10. Attach your preset made with nLite so we can figure out if any removed components are the cause; what error message are you getting when you attempt to install? Is your "Automatic Updates" service set to "Automatic" and running?
  11. What were the switches you found for Editplus?
  12. If you try: editplus.exe /auto the installer will automatically extract the files, but it stops at the license agreement. Would the Peid tool help?
  13. I read something that the HAL in Vista is hardware-independent, unlike XP. It should be possible...
  14. It could be the MBR that needs modification to find the hidden partition and recover the computer; I figured out that from DISKPART if you select the hidden partition as a volume, you can assign it a drive letter and then use ImageX to capture it. I now have to figure out how to restore the Thinkvantage MBR so that the F11 functionality that leads to the hidden partition and gives options to recover the computer will be intact.
  15. Is changing the orange parts of the Zune theme to black a possibility?
  16. I have an idea; there is an addon available at this page: http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=336 This add-on incorporates a lot of context menu items. One in particular, "power tweaks," seems to have been custom made and changes depending on the item or area in which the context menu appears. Perhaps you could talk to them about modifying the pack or learning what tools within the add-on could be used in order to create the effect you want. I believe all of the tools used are freeware. Hope this helps!
  17. If I am not mistaken, is Vista HAL-independent, meaning that one image can be put on any machine regardless of hardware differences? Perhaps talk to your boss about upgrading to Vista to avoid these problems or getting identical computers for everyone. In the meantime, since you have to do something to clean these computers, why not set them up ideally and then take a snapshot with ImageX and store them on a server somewhere so that this problem can be more easily rectified in the future? Are there no machines that are the same there? Are these all personal computers?
