Sounds like you got something nastly lurking in there, have you got a virus checker running, if so is it up to date...? I think i would be scanning the sever and any clients connected to it.

First of all what sound card do you have that is conflicting and what is the problem maybe we can sort the conflict out.... Secondly there a number of sound cards out there and all comes down to how much you want to spend and what you want to do with it... I have heard good reports about the turtle beach cards but they are expensive or you could stick with good old Creative soudblaster live series, i have Live player 5.1 and have had no problems with the card and XP and the price was good too...

Xperties, I run that card standard no overclocking in any way and it got very very hot...... it finally gave up when i ran (The project).... on it. for £300 it should have lasted longer than a week...

I used a Ti500 for a week and it cooked itself.. back to the trusty radeon now... Benchmarks, the last ones i ran are on my site below.

Hey FthrJack :assshake im not some perve you know..... I can capture it from my tvcard, but it captues at mpeg2 so 5mins=90mb file, unless it can be converted with something to reduce the file size.

Welcome Prof-x Your problem is a common one if you want to share the files turn off the XP firewall and get Zone Alarm and all will be happy, the XP firewall is pants. Im sure many others will give there help on this.
