it is very good much more bandwidth than Sdram and DDR, still expensive though and you need to buy two sticks to make it work.... Most makes is just samsung badged,i use NEC in mine. the samsung stuff is good for overclocking. http://www.tomshardware.com/mainboard/00q1/000315/index.html

Are you able to do a remote desktop in linux as in the way you can in XP....? The reason i ask is due to limited space in my room i dont have a monitor of Kbd/mouse connected to my .net server, i was going to have a go at setting up manderake but i would need to to have remote desktop after instalation is complete. is there a 3rd party app that can be installed or does it have something built in.

What you need to do is put the HDD on one of the normal IDE channels boot up XP load the attached drivers reboot and put the drive back on the ATA66 controler and it works HPT366

you could use one pc to do it with .net server installed as IIS but you need a static ip and you could use dns2go.com to do the routing to your IP. But if its 56k it ant going to be very quick.

So why are you using ICS the router should do all the work for you... Just set your machine to use DHCP there is no need to use ICS. you will probaly find the router uses 192.168.0.1 as its gateway ip thats why ICS is not happy.
